After looking all sorts of crazy at the star-studded Costume Institute Gala in New York City earlier this week, alleged fashion icon Mary-Kate Olsen is seen arrives into LAX Airport on Wednesday with her bodyguard in tow.
Meanwhile, Showtime has officially entered Miss Olsen in the Emmy race for best guest actress in the dark comedy series Weeds for her role as Tara Lindman. This potentially puts her against Lindsay Lohan, who is set to play an old schoolmate of America Ferrera’s character Betty Suarez on Ugly Betty’s May 22 season ender, and Britney Spears, who guest starred as a receptionist on the sitcom How I Met Your Mother.

Proving that they’re fraternal twins (not identical), Ashley and Mary-Kate Olsen looked very different as they attended the Costume Institute Gala at the Metropolitan Museum in New York City on Monday night.
While Ashley was effortlessly stunning and fresh-faced in a simple black number with sexy cut-outs, her allegedly more fahsion forward sister looked like a Gaelic street banshee in a way-too-gold gown.
Both dresses were custom designed by legendary designer Diane von Furstenberg. Go figure.

A stylishly disheveled Mary Kate Olsen heads to her car after paying a visit to a medical center in Santa Monica, CA on Monday.
While MK is in the Sunshine State getting her health on, twin sis Ashley is in Dallas promoting their designer collection, The Row.
Says the pint-sized fashionista of their new high end label: “It’s been great. It’s been a lot of work, but fun.” And do MKA plan on expanding their already success (Fall bookings so far total $2.5 million wholesale) line? “In due time. I don’t want to expand too far too fast….I just take it one day at a time. There is endless opportunity, and I want to make the right choices. I don’t see why it can’t grow further and further.”

Shooting down a rumour started by the New York Post, NYPD commissioner Raymond Kelly said on Sunday that Mary-Kate Olsen will not be subject to questioning about the mysterious death of her friend, Heath Ledger.
“There is absolutely no indication” that investigators need to grill MK, he said, given that those who actually stumbled upon Heath’s body — including his housekeeper, his masseuse and the security team Mary-Kate dispatched to the scene — have been thoroughly questioned. Kelly also confirmed it will be another week or so until the toxicology report is back on Heath.
Meanwhile, at last night’s SAG Awards, There Will Be Blood star Daniel Day-Lewis dedicated his Best Actor win to Heath, touting the Aussie as a “unique, perfect” peer.

Even though she’s nowhere to be seen, the woman at the centre of the tragic death of Heath Ledger has issued a statement to Entertainment Tonight.
Says Mary-Kate Olsen: “Heath was a friend. His death is a tragic loss. My thoughts are with his family during this very difficult time.”
Contrary to reports that the NYPD is interested in questioning MK about the phone calls made by the masseuse who discovered Heath’s lifeless body on Tuesday, a rep today said the stories are simply untrue and they have no interest in talking with her.

Ashley Olsen may have emo queen Jared Leto.
But Mary Kate one-upped sis by snuggling up to super hot Irish actor Colin Farrell at the Sundance after party for his new film, In Bruges.
In her defense, it is like 3 below zero in Coloardo!
But you gotta feel for Colin. He’s been laying low for quite a while. His first press night out and.. this?
MK’s own movie, The Wackness, premieres on Saturday.

Actress-turned-designer MARY-KATE OLSEN sparkles in a multi-colour vintage minidress at a 2006 industry party in New York City. Meanwhile, country bumpkin CARRIE UNDERWOOD gets festive in a green sequined Elizabeth and James number (inspired by MK’s version) at the New Year’s Eve countdown in Times Square.

She’s battled an eating disorder and most recently a kidney infection, but it seems nothing can stop Mary-Kate Olsen from her one and true love — shopping!
The casually dressed fashionista crawled out of her cave yesterday to engage in some holiday shopping with her equally fabulous friends.
Looking strangely human in skinny jeans, a corduroy jacket and her trademark platforms, MK appeared happy (well, as happy as an Olsen can be) to make a public outing after weeks of hiding in seclusion.
The not-Ashley celebutwin was recently romantically linked to Brothers & Sisters star Dave Annable after the couple was spotted out and about town. Could Mary-Kate’s budding new romance be the reason behind her newfound incognito lifestyle?

Looks like the only thing Mary-Kate Olsen likes better than ill-fitting clothing is her men!
After being linked to a slew of various guys in recent months, the latest tall, dark and handsome suitor tickling MK’s fancy is Brothers and Sisters star Dave Annabelle.
The full-time fashionista was seen “all over” the 28-year-old actor when they recently dined in L.A. hotspot Teddy’s in the Roosevelt Hotel.
In the upcoming issue of In Touch magazine, a fellow patron says: “They were all over each other, they looked as though they couldn’t get enough of each other! They were holding hands, cuddling and kissing throughout dinner.”
Mary-Kate was first spotted with Dave at Chateau Marmont’s restaurant on December 4 - where they dined with a group of friends including Nicole Richie and DJ Samantha Ronson.
An onlooker says: “They drank beer and left together. They looked pretty close.”

After dismissing requests and pleas to stop wearing fur and using it in their fashion collection, bone-thin twins Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen are about to get some publicity that will have them running away faster than if they’d spotted a calorie.
PETA2, the world’s largest youth animal rights organization, plans to launch its “Trollsen Twins” campaign by unveiling an ad featuring images of fur fiends Mary-Kate and Ashley in the most unflattering photo that PETA2 could find. (Admittedly, not a huge feat.) The ad, which carries the tagline “Fur Is Worn by Beautiful Animals and Ugly People,” will be unveiled today at noon at the Olsens’ Walk of Fame star on Hollywood Boulevard.
CLICK HERE to check out the hilarious site.
It features a ‘Fatal Fashion’ animated dress-up game complete with animal skins and the accompanying blood; a mash-up video called ‘Full House of Horrors,’ in which footage from the twins’ former TV show Full House is interspersed with scenes in which animals are killed for fur; and information about actions visitors can take to get through to the ethically challenged 21-year-olds, whose hearts are apparently as nutrition-starved as the rest of their bodies.
Says peta2 Assistant Director of Youth Campaigns Dan Shannon: “No one would argue that Mary-Kate and Ashley could use some meat on their bones, but the last thing they need is hair on their backs–especially when it belongs to someone else. These two are a couple of real lightweights when it comes to both taste and compassion.”
