Adam Lambert’s
Good Morning America performance scheduled for tomorrow has been canceled because of his racy performance on Sunday’s American Music Award show.
An ABC News spokeswoman says: “Given his controversial American Music Awards performance, we were concerned about airing a similar concert so early in the morning.”
The backlash continues…
UPDATE: ABC’s competing network CBS says Adam will appear on tomorrow’s Early Show to both discuss his AMA act and to perform.
The American Idol runner-up talked to Ryan Seacrest a short time ago ABC canceling. “Obviously I respect their decision, they gotta do what they gotta do. It’s too bad, I think there were a lot of fans who were excited to come see me.”
He added, “They probably had a lot of pressure coming at them from certain people who weren’t happy about it. I respect their decision — I don’t necessarily agree with it, but they need to do what they need to do.
“I don’t feel I owe anyone an apology for anything. I performed, it was late night TV, I did something that female performers have been doing for years, no different. It’s just the fact that I’m me and it’s a little different for people. It’s really not that big of a deal. I’m not a babysitter, I’m a performer.”

Tom Cruise was up until the wee hours of the morning last night (November 23) filming scenes for his upcoming film,
Knight and Day.
Toting a handgun, the 47-year-old actor was all business as he shot a chase scene on the rooftops of Salzburg, Austria.
Later Tom could be seen leaping from a window ledge of a building, flying through the air upside down — his fall softened by safety mats.
The action-comedy, also starring Cameron Diaz, centres on a lonely woman (Diaz) whose seemingly harmless blind date suddenly turns her life upside-down when a super spy, played by Cruise, takes her on a violent worldwide journey to protect a powerful battery that holds the key to an infinite power source.

After rocking the American Music Awards stage on Sunday night, Rihanna made her much-anticipated appearance on Good Morning America today (November 24), where she performed two songs from her new album, Rated R, plus one older fan favourite.
Looking fierce in a white sequined blazer with a little black shirt underneath and stilettos, Rihanna took the stage smiling. She kicked off her performance with her single Wait Your Turn, surrounded by her band and backup dancers, who were dressed all in black. The Times Square stage was set with old-fashioned TVs.
After singing the single from Rated R, which hits stores this week, she revealed to GMA host Robin Roberts that she had intended to wear something else entirely for the show. “My dress … I guess I’m a little too fat right now … the zip busted. They wanted to stitch it up but I couldn’t,” she joked about her wardrobe malfunction.
She also talked a bit about her new album album, saying, “It came very natural only because it was my place of peace, being the studio just venting. It was the one place I didn’t feel judged or criticized. Every emotion went into that album.”
Rihanna then sang another Rated R single, Russian Roulette, before closing out the show with her fan-favourite smash hit Umbrella, off her 2007 album Good Girl Gone Bad.

Paris Hilton enjoyed an afternoon of pampering while out and about in Los Angeles on Monday (November 23).
Sporting a Breakfast At Tiffany’s top and Chanel hat, the celebrity heiress was spotted dropping off her baby blue Bentley at the valet before heading off to get her nails done.

Lady Gaga toned down her trademark over-the-top look for an in-store appearance at Best Buy in Los Angeles on Monday (November 23).
Leaving her mask and light up bustier at home, the singer otherwise known as Stefani Joanne Germanotta rocked a smart black suit and matching sunglasses as she signed autographs and posed for photos amid a hysterical crowd.
Meanwhile, it appears that Gaga isn’t making the big bucks she thought she would with peer-to-peer music streaming service Spotify.
Swedish newspaper Expressen reports that that the Paparazzi singer earned just $167 from over one million streams of her hit single Poker Face.
“It is totally sick,” says Swedish raper Dogge Doggelito. “We musicians have no rights, you may not charge [for music] anymore.”
That said, producer Alexander Bard says $167 is still better than nothing — which is exactly how much she would have received from illegal downloading.
