Kanye West and 50 Cent have taken their publicity war to the pages of Rolling Stone.
With both having albums dropping on September 11, these two marketing geniuses were more than happy to pose and heat up the the greatest debate of our time: Who will be the next “king of hip hop”?
According to the editor’s note, Kanye wants everyone to know that this photo is legit. “I feel like it should say, This is not photoshopped,” he says. “This is real. It’s a moment.”
As for 50? “From a hip-hop perspective, it’s the biggest event possible.”
Team Kanye or Team 50?

These guys are less convincing than a WWF “feud.” They need to take some notes.

I vote 50 cause Kanye is a complete ass…
but I think Kanye will win because he appeals to a broader range of people.

first of alll this is bullshit….PR non sense…second of all niether one of them can claim they are the king of hip hop because neither one of them are REAL hip hop artist, all 50 does anymore is sing on tracks and talk about stupid shit, and kanye….ahh dont even get me started. “REAL HIP HOP IS NOT PLAYED ON THE RADIO” so both of them need to step off title.

That’s a whole lot of angry black man on the cover. And neither one of them has any talent at all!
September 5th, 2007 at 9:21 am
Those two should just give it up and kiss!
September 5th, 2007 at 9:30 am

Anya/mo’s. . . LOL, yeah, now if they actually macked on each other, I might pay attention.
September 5th, 2007 at 10:15 am
And after the shoot… they made out furiously.
September 5th, 2007 at 10:20 am
This is obviously a PR stunt by both of them, like they both got together and decided to make it a contest so that it would make more publicity and sell more cds. Well, maybe it was the publicists ideas because those two never could have thought of that! LOL

Team Chesney chesnut or whatever that country guys name is. The one that was married to Rene Zellweger. Doesn’t his album come out on sept.11 also. That would be hilarious if his album turned out to be #1 and niether of them were #1. I’m not even a fan of country music, but I want Kenny’s, thats his name I think, to be #1. But I just want him to be #1 so both of these idioty will shut the hell up. But if I had to pick soemone other than Kenny and between these two douches I would say Kanye just because aside from his attitude his music is somewhat good. It’s sure a hell of alot better than 50 Cents.

[...] if their face-to-face Rolling Stone cover shot wasn’t enough, Fiddy has branched out and is now gracing the cover [...]

All of this self-promotion just makes me even less interested in them than I was before, if that is humanly possible.
