Bo, the Obama’s family’s new six-month-old portuguese Water dog, just made his official move into the White House.
“He’s got star quality,” said President Barack Obama amid a long line of flash-happy photographers. He later added: “That’s a good looking dog, let’s face it!”
It was First Lady Michelle Obama who took the leash as they walked off across the White House lawn with Sasha and Malia.
Needless to say, Bo puts the “bo” in boisterous.

Too much tension on the leash. It’s obvious that Michelle does not know how to walk a dog correctly. The Obamas should call a Pet Behavior Consultant like Cesar Millan or Victoria Wells for lessons - especially since this is their first dog.
A Portuguese Water Dog is very high maintenance. This breed works better for more experienced dog owners. Bo will require a lot of exercise, training and discipline.
The Obamas should have selected a more suitable dog which would fit their lifestyle. I won’t be surprised if Bo is surrendered back to the Kennedys within a year. This was a foolish choice on their part.

Pity those who want to shit on everything. This dog has brought a lot of smiles to people, and you know why? Because people love dogs and dig our president! Fucking deal with it. That said I do agree with the person who said a Portie might not be the wisest choice for all the reasons described. One wonders if it was the reluctance to saying no to Kennedy. Plus I had read that Bo was trained. Hmm.
