At one point, an overzealous fan accidentally poked the retired tennis pro in the face with a photograph when trying to get her attention.
With her lackluster tennis career behind her, Anna was out promoting National Boys & Girls Club Week, which runs March 22-28.
The national organization is hosting thousands of events across the country ot emphasize the importance and value of the Clubs to their communities.
To help support this concept of living an active, healthy lifestyle, BGCA has partnered with Cartoon Network to host Get Animated Day at its Clubs today, including a national television appearance by Miss Kournikova.
Says the 27-year-old: “All kids need to be active. I’m proud to be associated with a group like Boys & Girls Clubs of America who recognizes this need and is proactively providing resources to make this happen.”
Anna has been volunteering for BGCA in Miami since 2004 and was the 2007 recipient of BGCA’s Champion of Youth Award.

To be honest she never really had much of a tennis career. Sure she was in the big league, but she didn’t win too much. The reason why people know who she is is because she’s such a good looking girl. Is she still going out with Enrique? I remember reading something about them breaking up?
