The actor/comedian/artist/producer has been named honorary chairman and development consultant for Nickelodeon’s TEENick.
The two-year deal means Nick will be in front of the camera, behind the desk and online for The N, Nickelodeon’s 24-hour TV network for teens.
A few highlights from his first interview with USA Today:
Nick on why employees are eager to walk by the boss’ office: “I’ve got co-workers tip-toeing past my door pretending like they’re using the copier, going in all of the pantries, but really they’re just trying to see if (my wife) Mariah (Carey) is going to walk in. She comes by every once in a while, so they might catch her.”
Nick on Mariah loving his new job: “Nothing has really changed, because she sleeps during the day, especially because she’s working on an album and has to rest her voice. She doesn’t even know when I’m gone. When I get home, she’s just getting up, and we hang out. I don’t sleep. My schedule is so weird.”
Nick on the possibility of Mariah showing up in one of his shows: “The great thing about her and one of the reasons I appreciate her so much is with her busy schedule and everything she has going on, she always has the time to support what I’m doing. That’s what a marriage and a union is really about. Outside of all of the fame and craziness, we just are best friends and have so much fun together and support. To have someone to bounce creative ideas off for 24/7 is amazing.”
Nick on having a baby with Mariah: “We’re definitely moving towards that. There were a couple of things you want to get established first. You want to enjoy each other for the first year, and we’ve traveled quite a bit. When you start a union, that has to be one of things that is on the forefront of your mind, but we’re so busy with everything else. We love each other, so we’re constantly in practice. We’re going to let nature take its course, but the course is not a long one.”

I agree….Mariah would be a horrible mother. Many famous women should not have babies- they are too wrapped up in themselves ( example:cough, Britney, cough)

Can you honestly see Mariah playing with her child in the park, or any other stuff Nicole does? Trust me if she does have a child, it will be Mama Jennifer Lopez 0.2 - you won’t see the child ever! lol
I think it’s good that he has finally got a decent job. He will still always be accused of living of his much more famous wife’s finances, but this helps a little bit that he’s also making money. It’s kind of pathetic though that the thing people most find interesting about him is who he is married too. I don’t think he really minds though, because it gives him something to talk about. I can’t see Mariah having a baby either, in the same way I can’t see Paris Hilton having a baby. They are too in love with themselves and vain to let their bodies change like that and to put another person before themselves.
first of all people act like nick never had a job man been working bsince 14 he went to comedy clubs had own show at nick by 16 movies tv shows charity houses cars bought his mother grandmother houses when did he do this he did it before mariah i have always been a nick fan i just became a mariah fan after nick so that bullshit is wrong i guess people would be happy if he was on drugs drinking and driving im not saying hes more famous than mariah but nick been making paper way before mariah i just say give a good hardworking responsible man his due he didnt get this because of her he got it by working hard 27/7 since he was 14 people said nicole ritchie wouldnt be a good mother tjhey were wrong mariah has always been good to people especially her fans the media started this diva stuff mariah will make a good mother she has what nicole dont have a loving husband nick as always ignore the hyaters keep making black men and all men look good god bless
