SJP on her alter ego Carrie Bradshaw: “People confuse my character on ‘Sex and the City’ for me. I don’t spend the best part of my day shopping. I love shopping on the rare occasion I get to do it and I love beautiful clothes, but these are the things that aren’t important — they don’t make you a better, more substantial person, thinking person. But fashion can give you a certain feeling — it’s that feeling that shoes can give you, or a bag, or the way a pair of pants fit.”

SJP on the current status of Carrie Bradshaw’s wardrobe: “They’re archived and stored like museum pieces. They’re in a temperature-controlled vault.”

SJP on her attitude towards fighting the age battle: “I feel frankly I would rather have time with my friends and family than worry too much about certain things. I would err on the side of a dinner party than the gym. Food and people are life’s greatest pleasures.”

    The dress on the cover is out of gamut, are they serious? She looks nice in these shots, not as overly photoshopped as she as she usually is. Still seriously photoshopped, but not like the American Elle just had her.

    [...] I love SJP but this Elle UK cover is just awful. Awful! I hope someone gets fired for picking the cover shot on this one. The only redeemable part of this situation is that SJP is featured in the US Elle for August as well and that photoshoot is actually quite lovely.     that’s easy for her to pick food over the gym, she’s always been very thin!!!! she has a good attitude though.

    You know how a football star tells the press stuff like, “I’m just happy to be here. I want to do my best and make my teammates proud.”? Well, SJP fed the same line to Elle. Especiall the “… on the rare occasion I get to do it ….”

    I will always love SJP. She;s got fabulous style and seems like a truly humble person. As for the poster who said she’s ugly, give it a fucking rest. That’s tired now. At least she’s not out there partying every night and flashing her minge to the Pap. She a responsible mother and a decent human being.

    Love her also. The only thing is this: like Jennifer Anniston, SJP looks beautiful only in a magazines. In person and in daily life she looks a bit unusual and pretty much like you and I. Maybe that’s what I like about both of these unusual looking women.
