Truth be known, it was Jennifer Aniston who dumped an attention-seeking and stingy John Mayer — not the other way around as the ungentlemanly crooner has suggested to the press.
“Jen will never kiss and tell, but it’s she who ended the relationship,” a source close to Jen says. “(John’s) childish behavior only confirms she was right to dump him. Now he’s acting like a spoiled child. Expect Jen to behave like a lady.”
In a full-fledged press conference over the weekend, John had attempted to explain his breakup with Jen by saying, “I ended a relationship to be alone, because I don’t want to waste somebody’s time if something’s not right.”
John was right in suggesting something wasn’t right, says the Aniston insider. His proclivity to tip off the press, for one!
“He has a relationship with certain paparazzi (and) bloggers. He tips them off. He loves the attention. Jen didn’t want to believe it was happening, but it was, and she has no tolerance for that.”
As for the reason Jen kicked John to the curb? He’s cheapness!
“Jen was tired of paying for everything,” said another source close to newly single Jen. “Cobwebs come flying out of (John’s) wallet when he opens it. John liked living like a movie star when he was with her. … Jen would never say anything, but you could tell it irritated her.”
Looks like we’ve got a vertiable battle of the exes on our hands. That being said, Team Aniston or Team Mayer?

john started the trashing when he kept emphasizing that he did the dumping in front of a bunch of paparazzi. he showed that he has zero class. especially knowing how private jennifer aniston is. i have lost all respect for that douchebag.

Jeez, how old is she? This is devolving to high school and neither side comes out looking good. I find it amusing that Jen’s friend is upset about his tendency to call the media. I guess that’s Jen’s job. Her friends really need to stop talking because they make her sound more and more pathetic.

So, if her “friends” say something, it is true, but if he actually says something, it is false? When she opens her own mouth instead of using her friends and PR machine, then I might feel for her. But this seems like her pattern, let others speak and make it look like you are “taking the high road”. I don’t really know either of these people, but they are BOTH after attention and since she is too immature to speak for herself and constantly hides behinds “pals and sources close to her” I think he should get more benefit of the doubt.

Right - I don’t think she wants you to feel for her. In fact I don’t think that jen cares much about you. Anyway again Jen won’t say anything about her relationships. I personally like this. Her friends are always going to talk because they love the attention and the money that they get from this. That must be so annoying for Jen. I believe that she did break up from him.

I agree w/ right. I think she knows how to play the media to make her look like a victim. Although, I do believe that John should’ve kept his mouth shut to the paps. Bottom line, we saw this coming from day one so no one should even be that surprised. Next!

So now not only is Mayer the bad one, her friends now like the money and attention? Wow, except her friends have no names, so how do they like attention. Ms. Anniston is not an innocent bystander in her life, as it is HER life, her choices. Why don’t people ever ask her to take responsibility for her actions? Yeah, Mayer is not worth it, but please, she is not above it all.
Folks are treating this like it is important. When other people broke up (Diaz and Timberlake, her buddy and her boyfriend–sorry can’t remember their names), it was over and done with, but this high drama is way past logical. It is about two egos who want the last word.

John Mayer said that Jennifer Aniston is a smart and sophisticated woman, but he is not actually complimenting Aniston, he is in fact complimenting himself that a smart and sophisticated woman fell for him. He just boosted his own stock!
Coz really Aniston is the dumbest and most immature woman for falling for someone like Mayer.

John Mayer did not “hold a press conference.” Gimme a break. Oh and hey since you’re such a sucker I have some nice water property in Death Valley to sell you btw. He was being hunted down and followed all over NY and tried to quell it. It’s nothing more than he’s done in the past except now the poster child of victimhood is involved, your queen of fakery. Susan, you are SO wrong. You’re blaming her friends that she uses to do her work for her when she’s the blame for it all.
Please read Vanity Fair and watch while Jen sits back and plays victim while she sic’s her bulldog buddies on Brad and Angie. Throughout the whole thing just watch while she allows the seed of doubt about Brads fidelity to planted in the readers head by her friends while she refuses to say anything bad about him as she plays stoic, brave, weepy and vunerable all at the same time. Just listen to her words and if you take your blinders off you’ll learn that they were done long before and she just makes Angie a scapegoat to hide behind.
I don’t feel sorry for her, and I think she’s getting what she set in motion herself starting with that poo poo poor me Vanity Fair interview and the gazillion other ones she gave until it started backfiring on her. You give that broad way to much credit she doesn’t deserve.

The press conference reference was us just being sarcastic we know he didn’t hold a ” press conference” but he NEVER spoke of the relationship before but he was on tmz rambling on about the breakup even the paparazzi found it strange. Clearly he’s used to being the person who does the dumping and I believe jennifer dumped him and he’s trying to save face. Good riddance to bad rubbish jen can and will do better.

leave john alone! if it is not working out then it is not! he is very talented and who he choses to date or not to date is up to him! I saw him at darien lake on the 22nd and the show was amazing! all I care is that he keeps making that music but i really do not care who he is dating!!!
