THE OBAMAS DO ‘ESSENCE’

It’s official — the Obamas have officially garnered more magazine covers than Sarah Jessica Parker during the whole Sex and the City media hoopla.

First it was People. Then came Barack and Michelle on the September issue of Ladies’ Home Journal. Michelle’s Ebony cover soon followed. As did Barack’s. Then Tyra Banks dressed up as the potential first lady on the new Harper’s Bazaar. Oh yeah, and don’t forget GQ, The New Yorker, Radar and Vibe. Now Essence has the whole family, part of a deal with People, both owned by Time Warner.

As writer Gwen Ifill points out: “The Obamas pride themselves on creating a family picture that is authentically Black with shades of Norman Rockwell.”

Inside the mag, Barack gushes about his wife: “Michelle has done a heroic job of managing the house, the family and still finding time to campaign and be out on the road. I’m always marveling at everything that she can do.”

And then he sings: “I’m every woman. She cringes. He laughs. “That’s Michelle. It’s like, Chaka Khan! Chaka Khan!”

Bill Clinton regrets some things he said - and didn’t say - on the campaign trail. But there’s one thing he still can’t utter: Barack Obama is ready to be President.

    Because he isnt.

From his radical stance on abortion to his prominence in the corruption scandals that has been virtually ignored by the mainstream media, Barack Obama is not fit to be Senator — not to mention the next President of the United States.

Obama has declared his presidential intentions, but it is up to well-informed and energetic conservatives like you to spare our nation from the scourge of a far-left President Barack H. Obama.

You Americans are really scary people! So angry, so scared of something new, so racist, so non-loving, and filled with hate. Your current leader basically screwed up the free world. McCain is a mirror of him. How low do you people want to go before you join the civalized world? There are leaders of different races and colours all over the world and America is just so behind in thinking and openness. It is really sad that the FORMER greatest country is nothing but a bunch of hillbillies and rednecks. Where is the growth?

    DOWN WITH OBAMANATION!

The Obamas will be in for a shock in November. The chickens are coming home to roost and their painting of the Clintons as racists will come back to bite the Obama camp in the ass. I’m not about to reward Obama (and his surrogates like Jim Clyburn and Jesse Jackson Jr) for their attacks on the Clintons. Before the SC primary and all the accusations hurled at the Clintons, Obama campaign co-chair JJ Jr. questioned why Hillary never shed a tear for the Hurricane Katrina victims (most were African-American). THAT is when race was first injected into the campaign. Obama had won lily-white Iowa and he and all the pundits were expecting him to go on to win New Hampshire and knock Hillary out of the race for good. Hillary won NH and that’s what set JJ Jr. and the Obama campaign off, and just in time for the SC primary. Shameful and disgusting. And it will not be forgotten in November. I won’t be voting for McCain, but Obama’s not getting my vote either.

We cant grow anymore because of all of the illegal immagrants, NAFTA, and a shit load of more stuff, like other nations needing OUR help as always.
We are not the FORMER greatest country - we are the greatest country ever!
If we were not, then why do we babysit your country, and all the others in time of need?
    We are the WORLDS MOMMY!
But yet, when we need help, the world wont help us.

The Madrid Train Bombings, 11th Mar 2004 - 200 innocents butchered by the evil of Islamism.

When will Europe wake up? Islamofascists setting off bombs full of shrapnel in packed commuter trains. Hundreds dead. Will this finally make Europe understand what Israel is going through? Probably not. It will probably take a lot more attacks on Europe for Europe to wake up, and join with America, Britain and Israel at last.

TRYGVE - I guess the British, Russians and the French resistance did not do anything. By the way, the country was under Democratic rule at the time. The Republicans at that time did not want to go to war against Hitler. And without the help of Prescott Bush, Hitler would not have been able to build up his war machine to the point of doing the damage he did. Oh, how easy it is to parrot right-wing propaganda, without knowing all the facts.

Today some Canadians are still sensitive to talk of an American takeover. The two countries have at least four unresolved border disputes.
So you might wonder, is there an up-to-date 21st Century War Plan Red hidden away some obscure Defense Department office? When asked if such a plan existed today, a spokesman for the Pentagon said, “We don’t acknowledge which countries we have contingency plans for. We don’t acknowledge any of our contingency plans.”

That’s certainly not a denial. So, better not try any funny business, Canada. We might just have a plan.

“We now face an opportunity — and an obligation — to turn the page on the failed politics of yesterday’s health care debates… My plan begins by covering every American. If you already have health insurance, the only thing that will change for you under this plan is the amount of money you will spend on premiums. That will be less. If you are one of the 45 million Americans who don’t have health insurance, you will have it after this plan becomes law. No one will be turned away because of a preexisting condition or illness.”

Canada eh, what you don’t understand is that during this election time these Repub trolls have been commissioned to flood message boards with propaganda and talking points. If you visit any other comment section regarding political discussions, you will see the same drivel posted over and over again. The McCain campaign even sends out daily emails with what they should say for the day. So you are not at all getting an accurate representation of the feelings of most Americans during this election. Most democrats have to be at work so they don’t have time for it, also Barack Obama is above such asinine tactics and has not commissioned his supporters in this way.

truthfully-good point…there was just a few articles this week that stated ‘conservatives in hollywood are more discriminated against than communists used to be.’
i have never seen a repub talking point…neither has anyone in here most likely…and very funny that repubs don’t work or something!!! hah. and barack is a master propagandist…that’s why all his imagery is communist oriented and it’s why he speaks in platitudes and is completely ambiguous or says two different things to different groups of people. and he’s not above anything-just ask google/you-tube who are shutting down anti obama blogs and videos. most importantly, what’s up with the illegal foreign donations and a complete lack of a paper trail even though he wanted to be prez since age 4 when he was in a jakarta madrassa…WHERE IS HIS BIRTH CERTIFICATE!?

Hey Canadian 14, excuse me, but fuck you. You don’t know me and I don’t appreciate you lumping me in with the assholes of this country. So next time you want to school someone use more specific language. By the way if we suck so hard as a nation why do so many Canadians want to come here and be citizens? Even your best and brightest. I remember travelling through Canada (a gorgeous place I LOVE) back in college and the majority of citizens there my age were jonesing to come here. Why do you think that is? Maybe it’s because in spite of our shortcomings and assholerly, the ideas and ideals of this country mean something to people. You can go ahead and concentrate on what you deem ugly and pathetic about America - go right ahead. But you can’t see the forest for the trees as far as I’m concerned. Oh and earth to you: Obama is thisclose to being elected. So if you don’t consider that change, you’re an idiot. Yeah the dumbshits in this country let Bush and all his lying co-horts convince them to be afraid and vote Repug for the last two elections, but oh are they ever paying for it now! I’ve waited 8 years for this change and you can go ahead and be sour and negative. Whatever. You’ll just miss the party, babe.

Wishing you could be a campaign surrogate, but don’t have a national platform? Do you find blogging your own opinions tedious? Wish you could have someone tell you what to think during this political season? Well look no further than John McCain’s new blog outreach!

That’s right; the McCain camp wants to recruit online supporters and activists to serve as comment trolls. From their website:

Help spread the word about John McCain on news and blog sites. Your efforts to help get the message out about John McCain’s policies and plan for the future is one of the most valuable things you can do for this campaign….

Select from the numerous web, blog and news sites listed here, go there, and make your opinions supporting John McCain known. Once you’ve commented on a post, video or news story, report the details of your comment by clicking the button below.

Now, don’t worry if you’ve never heard of a blog, or never written a comment, or heck, even used a computer. Because not only does the campaign tell you on which blogs to comment — Redstate for right-wingers, Daily Kos for progressives (sorry HuffPo fans, we didn’t make the list) — it will even tell you what to say! Just click on the Blog Interaction page for “Today’s Talking Points.”

Just look at today’s gem, entitled “Time For Solutions:”

John McCain will put the national interest ahead of partisanship, he will work with anyone who sincerely wants to get this country moving again. If John McCain is elected President, the era of the permanent campaign will end. The era of problem solving will begin.

You might be thinking, “What’s in it for me?” As a matter of fact, for every comment the McCain verifies, you will awarded McCain Action Center. Which is important, because in Fantasy Land 2013, those things will replace the dollar as American currency.

is it only fear mongering when republicans talk about islamic terror (that just set more bombs off in india and china for some unknown reason)?
or is it fear mongering also to say people will all get sick and die because there’s no health care, no abortions (or reproductive rights), the earth is melting, CO2 is killing us and animals, evil dumb, rich, christian bigots wake up at 6am to screw them and spread the wealth gap, the gov’t is taking away constitutional rights, industrialization is bad, no social security, no entitlements, no science, only war mongering?
pretty sure deoderant commercials use fear, and nobody does it better than libs.

There are several right wing blogs that track all stories concerning the Obamas. They send their henchman here to flood the comment sections with bullshit. Like I said, it’s not an accurate representation of an average American perspective. Of course that’s their point, they would like to make everyone think that these are just random people who all happen to believe the same tired right wing nonsense. Just google Mccain Fadedyouth and you;ll see several websites pop up that feature links to these stories. That’s where you get this flood of idiots. FYI

    truthfully, why lie?
how do you know all these people are working for the GOP unless you’re a dem operative?
or are you a google worker that buries ledes about him and cancels anti obama blogs and youtube vids?
where’s obama’s life paper trail? why isn’t anyone asking important questions?

You know adam, I can give YOU personally the benefit of the doubt because I’ve been reading this blog for a while and I do remember that you have been here for a while as well. But if you do not acknowlege that the vast, vast majority of these posts are the result of exactly what I described then your opinion loses value to me. It is a dirty political trick IMO and so I kind of understand why you will not admit it, but I know that you are more than aware of exactly what I am talking about.
