Rosario Dawson knocked ‘em dead today in a shimmering Dolce & Gabbana gown at the Cannes Film Festival premiere of ‘Death Proof.’

Rocking a cropped blazer, chiffon skirt and fingerless gloves, the usually flawlessly styled Zhang Ziyi hit a sour note in Chanel at yesterday’s premiere of ‘Chacun Son Cinema’ in Cannes.

French Bond babe Eva Green was simply jaw-dropping today in a stunning Japanese-inspired Christian Dior creation at the 40th Anniversary Golden Compass Party in Cannes.

    Wow- all amazing couture looks and surprisingly the celebs pulled it off as well as the models! I think its a bit too far removed from Zhang Ziyi’s personal style (she’s always so feminine) but still she looks confident rather than ridiculous (i may be the only person to think that!)
    Eva looks amazing in couture- she has such a dramatic look that few could get away with. And rosario looks gorgeous- the dress definitely looks better without a belt and her skin looks great here- the model (gisele?) looks washed out.

    i was waiting for someone to wear the dress that rosario is wearing. i fell in love with that dress when i watched that fashion show. its gorgeousss.but she is FUGGGGGGGGGGGG

    Rosario Dawson is ugly. BUT she looks kinda pretty in that dress.

    Zhang Ziyi is very pretty, I’m not a huge fan of that outfit, but she pulls it off.

    Eva Green looks AMAZING!!!!! I sooooo want that dress.

    psl - holy cow! we disagree on this one. i think rosario looks fab. i wouldn’t mind that body. i think they all look better than the hangers - oops, i mean models.

    1. Rosario wins. I don’t like it with the belt.

    2. The model definetly. Ahang Ziyi looks ok, but when you wear a gown EXACTLY like the model does you can’t win. Plus, the shoes don’t go with the look. Karl Lagerfeld’s clothes aren’t very flattering on most people period. Half of his stuff looks like it was made for a 17 year old Anna Wintour.

    3. They both look great, but Eva wins due to lack of Geisha paint lol. I love that someone even dared to wear this gown.

    Ziyi - tick, Eva - tick, Rosario - jury’s out.
    And Eva Green is probably one of the most French people in the world, behind Gerard Depardieu.

    1. Rosario. This gown does nice things for her figure, although she is rather thick-waisted.

    2. Neither. Ziyi looks squat and stumpy and chopped in two. This is a prime example of how couture design is not infallible. I don’t care if this is Chanel or not–even the model can’t make it look good. There is such an ’80’s look to this ensemble.

    3. Eva. This gown is so gorgeous and dramatic. Love all the draping. I don’t like the makeup on the model. C’mon, we know the dress is kimono-inspired, the makeup/hair doesn’t need to be so in-your-face.

    Christian Dior/John Galliano always have extreme make-up. As a make-up artist myself I always enjoy his shows because I get a lot of inspiration from them.

    Rosario looks better than the model. The dress compliments her curves but I feel blah about it.

    Ziyi was trying to be adventurous. I commend her on it but I think the look would’ve been better if she lost the jacket and just had the vest with the skirt. The jacket is too big/boxy for her petite short frame.

    Eva Green looks FANTASTIC. Her curves in that dress are just so va va voom. It’s a beautiful dress to begin with but I like that she didn’t try to compete with the dress with jewelry or a lot of makeup. The red lips are a great touch.

    Rosario- She looks gorgeous here! Some people could really make this dress look trashy but she wears it perfectly! Nearly as well as Miss Bundchen herself!
    Zhang- looks a bit of a mess to me. The outfit is very theatrical and has the oppportunity to look fantastic. Unfortunately, it doesn’t seem to fit her too well and she looks a bit too stuffed into it.
    Eva- She looks really good! It’s very hard to get away with couture but she looks great. The gown is gorgeous!

    Eva Green wins, she’s the ony one thats really working it, Zhang looks a few steps away from crazy while there’s nothing REALLY wrong with Rosario’s look she just needs the belt and should try taking risks every once in a while like Eva (NOT like Zhang) or else she’ll get boring FAST.
