80TH ANNUAL ACADEMY AWARDS: ARRIVALS

Much props to the fiercely talented Daniel Day-Lewis for taking home the trophy for Best Actor at Sunday night’s 80th Annual Academy Awards on Sunday night.
While he may have taken home the prize for his acting chops, the same could not be said about his red carpet peformance.
And while the There Will Be Blood actor’s brown shoes and gold hoop earrings were truly unsightly, they didn’t compare to his wife Rebecca Miller’s opera singer dress - cobbled together with blood-red bows and shiny black baubles.
Luckily for these two, their bread and butter comes from their well-honed crafts and not the outfits they wear.

HIDEOUS. What the HELL?? Why would you wear that dress and shoes??? I like him, but good god, his outfit is horrible.

What ever Daniel chooses to wear is okay with me…he is one our best actors so what he and his wife wear on the red carpet is unimportant, besides…Clooney looked delicious…

That last statement of yours Arasto is spot on…I think a lot of people get really caught up in the fashions at these Awards and sometimes forget about their actual acting abilities. It is fun of course to see who’s looking great, but that’s not REALLY what its all about. Daniel does look kind of odd though…I’m not liking the hoop earrings at all.
