“I receive this honor with deep gratitude and great humility,” he said in his formal address. “It is an award that speaks to our highest aspirations – that for all the cruelty and hardship of our world, we are not mere prisoners of fate. Our actions matter, and can bend history in the direction of justice.”
Earlier, after meeting with Norwegian Prime Minister Jens Stoltenberg, he noted that winning the prize “was a great surprise” to him. V”I have no doubt that there are others who may be more deserving,” he said.

Funny thing is Bush closes the gap.
Perhaps the greatest measure of Obama’s declining support is that just 45% of voters now say they prefer having him as President to George W. Bush, with 54% saying they’d rather have his predecessor. Given the horrendous approval ratings Bush showed during his final term that’s somewhat of a surprise and an indication that voters are increasingly placing the blame on Obama for the country’s difficulties instead of giving him space because of the tough situation he inherited. The closeness in the Obama/Bush numbers also has implications for the 2010 elections. Using the Bush card may not be particularly effective for Democrats anymore, which is good news generally for Republicans and especially ones like Rob Portman who are running for office and have close ties to the former President.
The reality is that under President Bush the umemployment rate never exceeded 6.3% until the very last month of his presidency. The Obama deficits are much higher than the Bush deficits. People think Obama is better simply because he’s a better public speaker.
Obama’s biggest problem is that he’s a WHINER, pure and simple - always blaming someone else for any and all troubles. The American people don’t like whiners - never have and never will. They want a leader with an always optimistic attitude, even in the worst of times. Remember how Reagan was always described as possessing “a sunny dispostion.” All Obama projects is doom and gloom. The more Obama whines - and it’s not a trait he will ever change, the man is a serial whiner - the less presidential he appears. The more he whines, the more the American people will continue to tune him out.
why did obama abandon freedom in iran and honduras?
He had to be talked into having the traditional nativity scene displayed.
He is raising the ceiling debt on us another two trillion dollars.
Obamacare will cost nearly two trillion.
