Tyra Banks revealed her “real hair” today (September 8 ) on the season premiere of The Tyra Show.
“I feel like it’s my responsibility to redefine true beauty,” she said, “so I’ve shown myself with no makeup and now I’m showing my real hair - and it’s all because I want more women to be proud of who they are…inside and out.”
Tyra, who entered the studio with dripping wet hair, also invited studio audience members on stage to touch and feel her “real hair” during the taping to ensure it was in fact real.
By the end of the show, her hair stylist Oscar James had given her a cute curly ‘do minus a few inches.

Well, it’s not actually her “natural” hair given that it’s been straightened with a chemical. But Tyra never used the word natural. She said “real.” And that it is. It also looks really good.

I don’t know where this chick lives, but around here most of the girls hardly bother with makeup and many just pull their hair back and wear baggy clothes when they go out. And none of them are getting awards for it!
