While hubby Barack Obama did his thing at the G8 Summit in L’Aquila, Michelle Obama visited Rome’s famous Colosseum today (July 8 ) with her daughters Sasha and Malia.
Following a private 40 minute tour, the trio could be seen leaving the ancient Roman arena, with 11-year-old Malia - clad in sunglasses and a T-shirt with a peace symbol — clutching a guide book.
The Obama ladies later had dinner in a restaurant near the Pantheon that is a favourite with US government officials.
The Obama’s spent two days in Moscow this week meeting President Dmitry Medvedev and Prime Minister Vladimir Putin. There they agreed a landmark deal to reduce their stockpile of nuclear weapons. Or whatever that means…
