Looking ageless as always, Johnny Depp was seen arriving at the 2009 Los Angeles Film Festival’s premiere of Public Enemies at the Mann Village Theatre in Westwood, CA last night.
Despite extra security having to be brought in to hold them back, the actor could be seen happily signing autographs for the endless number of fans who lined up all day to catch a glimpse of the Hollywood star.
Extra police and security guards were drafted in to stop crowd barriers from being pushed over as hundreds of screaming fans lined the streets to try and get close to Johnny and his co-stars Christian Bale and Stephen Dorff. Johnny handled the surging fans in his stride, carrying on signing autographs regardless as the crowd had to be pushed back, stopping traffic.
If that weren’t generous enough, days earlier Johnny reportedly left a $4000 tip at a Chicago restaurant.
He was celebrating a red carpet screening of his new movie with a group of friends at Gibsons Bar and Steakhouse when he left the cash.
Waiter Mohammed A. Sekhani tells the Chicago Sun Times newspaper: “Depp is the finest of all the stars I have ever waited on. And he is a true icon, and his ability to respect others is phenomenal.”

I am a waiter and I once served Johnny Depp. He ended up tipping 80 bucks on a 20 dollar tab. Great guy!
