Eminem finally confirms what we’ve long known — he was in on the Bruno stunt at Sunday night’s MTV Movie Awards!
The rapper says that Sacha Baron Cohen called him a while ago with an idea to “do something outrageous at the MTV Movie Awards. I’m a big fan of his work so I agreed to get involved with the gag.”
So, did it go as planned? Better, says Em. “I’m thrilled that we pulled this off better than we rehearsed it. It had so many people going ‘nuts’ so to speak. Everyone was blowing me up about it.”
After the award ceremony, Eminem “went back to my hotel and laughed uncontrollably for about 3 hours. Especially after I saw it on air.”

I’m really surprised he would agree to something like this. Sure they say all publicity is good publicity, but jokes going around about how you got teabagged or 69d by a comedian pretending to be gay doesn’t exactly make you look like a tough rapper. I don’t think it went well at all!

This is how I think things *really* went:
Eminem did agree on doing a funny sketch, what he didn’t know though was that Bruno would actually end up with his bare arse near his face.
Therefore he got upset that thing didn’t go as planned (or as he thought they were supposed to be) and left in anger.
After a couple days of public gossiping about whether or not the bit was staged (days during which we all made fun of Eminem for being pranked by Cohen), Eminem’s publicists probably realized it was best to have him say it was all fake, he was on it and had a lot of fun. ‘Cause at least looking like he was purposedly making fun of himslef is better for his reputation than just be remembered as ‘that idiot white rapper who was teabagged by a gay charachter’!
