Prince William made a surprise visit today (May 12) to apologize to 109-year-old woman who complained about the Queen’s birthday.
After complaining to the Queen about the birthday cards she had been sent, Catherine Masters was amazed when Prince William paid her a surprise visit at the Grange Care Center, in Stanford in the Vale, Oxfordshire.
The great-grandmother politely wrote to Her Majesty to point out she had received the same card featuring the Queen in a yellow dress for the fifth consecutive year.
The two unlikely friends chatted over tea after Miss Masters got over her “total shock.”
Catherine has now been invited to a garden party with the Queen at Buckingham Palace in July. Time to get a new hat!

You know you are old and have nothing better to do when you complain about what someone is wearing on a birthday card. The poor old dear, so cute! I think that’s great of William to visit her even if it was just for publicity. I’m sure it completely made her day!
