Joined by his latest batch of blonde beauties, Playboy magnate Hugh Hefner mark half a century of Playmates of the Year last night (May 2) at Palm Place in Las Vegas.
While the Palms has long been synonymous with Playboy in Sin City, it will be the first time the Playmate of the Year was crowned at the resort.
Busty African-born brunette beauty Ida Ljungqvist picked up this year’s honour. The 27-year-old appeared on the cover of the March 2008 issue of the gentleman’s magazine.
In addition to the title, the 2009 Playmate of the Year received $100 000 and a new Mazda6 car.
Former Playmates Brande Roderick, Jayde Nicole and Holly Madison were all on hand to celebrate Miss Ljungqvist’s crowning.

It nice to see his twins washed the layers of makeup off they normally wear and that their hair and outfits dont look straight out of the 80’s. Still they come off as completely trashy and just want to make money and be on tv. But I doubt Hef cares that much anymore.

God those twins are fucking feral. They look like they came straight out of the trailer park. You expect to see trashy girls around Hugh, but in recent years the girls have been a bit classier and had hobbies other than spreading their legs to get to the top. Unfortunately when Holly, Kendra and Bridget left it looks like he’s gone back to his old ways. I’m disappointing in Ida winning to be honest. She’s pretty but there were much better candidates this year.
