Tom Cruise has taken his fanaticism into a new realm — his family!
The 45-year-old actor has reportedly pimped out his fleet of very expensive cars with bulletproof windows and body.
“It sounds like he’s taken a page out of one of his action movies,” explains an insider. “A-list celebrities know they can’t be too careful. Tom’s vehicles look perfectly normal, but in reality they are more like armored trucks. He really, really loves his cars and he can afford the best.” All of Tom’s chauffeurs are professionally trained defensive drivers, says the insider, so they can get him out of traffic problems and protect him from possible trouble.
But worry not, Cruise fans — Tommy boy is very adept at taking care of himself. In fact, he’s even rescued a number of stranded fellow drivers in his Telluride, CO hood.
Or so his publicists would like us to believe….

Following his star-studded house warming party last night, Tom Cruise was spotted making his way into the 2008 MTV Movie Awards with Suri on his shoulders, and he later presented Adam Sandler with the MTV Generation Award.

The crowd went wild as Will Smith won Best Male Performer for I Am Legend. He was joined by his son and costar Jaden.

Canadian starlet Ellen Page from Juno went on to win the counterpart trophy for actresses.

Host Mike Myers and Dana Carvey resurrected their Saturday Night Live characters Wayne Campbell and Garth Algar, the cable access hosts of Wayne’s World. They acknowledged it’s been awhile since they’ve been together (”1994. That’s a while,” said Wayne) and presented a risque top ten list of adult film titles (No. 8: I Am Legend … In Bed; and No. 1 Iron Man).

Chris Brown and Mike Myers engaged in an intense dance-off following the opening monologue. Chris’ dancing was so great that we almost forgot to notice his strange outfit, which included a colorful jacket and some seriously red shoes. Myers held his own during the dance-off and even broke out some old school moves including some badass belly rolls.

Johnny Depp managed to win honours in both the Best Comedic Performance (for his turn as Captain Jack in Pirates of the Caribbean) and the Best Villain categories (for Sweeney Todd.)

Sarah Jessica Parker, whose Sex and the City: The Movie, scored the number one position at the box office, received congratulations from Tom Cruise. Wife Katie Holmes admitted that she hadn’t seen the movie yet and was waiting to “have all my friends over. We’re gonna dress up and do it right!”

Adam Sandler (aka “The Sandman”) took home the Generation Award and we were not only treated to a great montage of Adam’s work but also a musical number by The Sandman. He sang his own version of Nobody Does It Better in celebration of his own awesomeness while surrounded by dancers, including Rob Schneider in a gold unitard and Kevin James.

Tom Cruise and
Katie Holmes were spotted leaving upscale eatery E.Baldi in Beverly Hill yesterday accompanied by their daughter and Katie’s parents.
Though they left questions from the paparazzi unanswered, the happy family was high spirits as they entered the SUV.
Meanwhile, rocking a graphic retro-inspired dress and green leather shoes, two-year-old Suri appears to be growing out the blunt bob that she and her mother (and, well, her father, too) made famous wordwide.
What is next in store for Suri’s famous coif and how will this change affect hairdos as we know them? Only time will tell….

Tom Cruise and
Katie Holmes turned out to cheer on LA Galaxy at their home match at the weekend.
But it seems the celebrity couple was not only there to enjoy the football.
With David Beckham on the pitch and Victoria away on fashion duties, Tom and Katie appeared to have been roped into babysitting for their celebrity friends.
TomKat kept a close eye throughout the game on the Beckham boys, 9-year-old Brooklyn, 5-year-old Romeo and 3-year-old Cruz.
The happy family also brought along their daughter two-year-old daughter Suri, and Tom’s adopted kids, 15-year-old Isabella and 13-year-old Connor.
But the enthusiastic cheers from the box at the Home Depot Center were not enough to see the home side triumph. The New York Red Bulls scored a 2-1 Major League Soccer victory over LA Galaxy.

After a near career-ending couch-hopping, a reconciliation between Tom Cruise and Viacom exec Sumner Redstone seemed almost impossible.
But now Redstone has no problem letting Tom lead the way in the next installment of Mission: Impossible.
Said Redstone today: “What I can say is, I consider Tom Cruise a great actor and a good friend, and if Paramount decides to go ahead with him, I will not object.”
Talk about a resounding endorsement!

Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes add a splash (ok, maybe a tidal wave) of colour as they hit the red carpet at the Costume Institute Gala in New York City on Monday.
While Katie wore a vintage Giorgio Armani red sequined beaded bustier and full ball gown skirt from the Fall 1993 collection (the shoes are Louboutins), her hubby toned this down in a Giorgio Armani Hand Made-to-Measure midnight blue two-button microfiber tuxedo with midnight blue velvet trim detail on the shawl collar. Tom jazzed things up by rocking a midnight blue vest, a cream silk shirt and cream diagonal striped necktie.
We’re a little affraid to ask….but….our thoughts?

Devoted family man Tom Cruise flashes a snide smirk as he’s spotted cozying up to a mystery brunette while making his way into a private office building in Los Angeles.
Cruise looked relaxed (if not delighted) as his lady companion kept a protective arm around him.
So, just who could this Katie Holmes clone be? An ordinary civilian? A Scieno handler? A studio publicist? Or perhaps this is the church’s attempt to stage Tom as an ordinary red-blooded American heterosexual male who succombed to the temptations of infidelity?
Wonders shall never cease.

Celebrity supercouple Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise add some Hollywood glamour to the Los Angeles County Museum of Art’s opening celebration of the Broad Contemporary Art Museum in L.A. on Saturday.
TomKat were among the many industry movers and shakers who were heralded with Taiko drums on the red carpet and then later mingled with stilt-walkers in elaborate costumes.
Last nights festivities, featuring dinnertime entertainment by Lionel Richie, capped several days of kickoff events, but it was the opening filled with Hollywood luminaries that drew fanfare akin to that of Oscar night.
