For over a decade, the always fabulous Bette Midler has been throwing one of the best Halloween bashes around.
The star-studded party aims to raise money for New York Restoration Project, a nonprofit founded by Midler to clean, restore and revitalize New York City’s parks. The group reclaims abandonded parks, plants community gardens and offers youth education programs aimed at greening up New York City.
In conjunction with the annual soiree at the Waldorf-Astoria, the group also holds an online auction. Among the items available for bid this year are a one-month internship at Us Weekly, a day on the set of ‘Wolverine’ with Hugh Jackman and tickets to Jessica Alba’s next movie premiere.

Doing her best Pebbles impression, Sheryl Crow took a break from being a busy mom to party it up with her long-time pal.

But it wasn’t long before the 45-old rockstress threw on her short shorts and bustier to rock out in front of the celeb-polluted audience. Work those gams, girl!

The best costume of the night, however, went to American designer Michael Kors who was perfection as an early 70s Elton John. Who knew Elton could get any gayer?

Before jetting off to Las Vegas to perform at her sold out show tomorrow night, a Lanvin-clad Gwen Stefani joined Sheryl Crow and Alicia Keys in hosting The 2007 Black Ball, an AIDS fundraiser benefiting the Keep a Child Alive charity, at Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City on Thursday.

Gwen and Alicia both performed at the benefit concert while Sheryl was on hand to honour celebrity humanitarian Bono for his work fighting against the global AIDS epidemic.

Among those who came out to show their support were TV cook Padma Lakshmi, Oprah’s gal pal Gayle King, hip hop impressarios Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs and Jay-Z, rocker Billy Joe Armstrong and supermodels Iman, Christy Turlington and Petra Nemcova.

With only the exception of costar Marcia Cross who was M.I.A. taking care of her new twins, new bride Eva Longoria was joined by her entire ‘Desperate Housewives’ cast today for an extravagant celebration that would have made alter ego Gabrielle Solis proud.
On-screen neighbour Teri Hatcher, who looked stunning in a silky blue gown, came with her 9-year-old daughter Emerson Rose. Felicity Huffman, in a beige dress with ruffled v-neck collar, brought hubby William H. Macy. A solo Nicolette Sheridan stole the “red carpet” show in a strapless pink chiffon gown.
Off-screen pals Jessica Alba (who came with long-time BF Cash Warren) and Sheryl Crow (who was escorted by head coach for the San Antonio Spurs Greg Popovich) were also on hand looking like they were en route to a funeral.
Not surprisingly, no shots of the bride herself. I’m guessing that has something to do with the $2 million exclusivity contract Eva and hubby Tony Parker signed with OK! magazine. No stone was left unturned when it came to privacy (rumoured to cost $1 million.) While bodyguards used massive black umbrellas to shield the guests from view, local police kept the bride and groom well hidden under the 10-foot-high wooden panels they erected.
Nonetheless, according to Mrs. Parker’s peeps, she wore a silk wool and silk gazar scoop-back mermaid gown embroidered with silver metallic. The gown, which had a 5-foot-long train, was designed by Angel Sanchez.
Next up for the happy couple and their A-list pals? Yet another glitzy soiree at the the 17th century Vaux-le-Vicomte chateau southeast of Paris.

Eva Longoria and Tony Parker’s highly publicized and never-ending wedding continues.
The loved up twosome are set to wed at their lavish French gala this weekend, but first they officially tied the knot today in a required civil ceremony.
The Mayor of Paris personally officiated the ceremony, which was held in City Hall.
A handful of Eva and Tony’s friends and family were in attendance (including Teri Hatcher, Sheryl Crow and Jessica Alba), but this is really only the warm-up to the religious ceremony set to happen on Saturday, which will be held at Paris’s Eglise Saint-Germain l’Auxerrois and followed by an extravagant party at the Chateau Vaux-le-Vicomte, a 17th-century castle famed for its gardens.
Très fantastique!

New mama Sheryl Crow was the picture of maternal love as she took her baby son out shopping in Malibu recently.
The 45-year-old singer couldn’t keep her eyes off one-month old Wyatt, whom she adopted last month, as she fed him in a Ralph Lauren store. Sheryl, who plans to take her son on tour with her in February, is so enamoured with motherhood that she is planning for a “whole troop” of brothers and sisters to join him.
Is it safe to describe this phenomenon as the Angelina Effect?

Sheryl Crow is one hot mama!
In her first interview and photo shoot as a brand-new mom, the singer coos about spending the past three weeks holed up in her Los Angeles mansion with her just-adopted newborn son, Wyatt.
Sheryl on Wyatt’s arrival: “The day he came home (on April 30), I felt like the whole house had changed. The house felt fuller. You just feel like nesting and making sure he’s acclimated to the world. It is all so fascinating.”
Sheryl on her new title as Mom: “My mom would hand him to me and say, ‘Here’s your mommy.’ It was really poignant (and very startling) to hear my mom call me Mommy. It took me a while to get used to it.”
Sheryl on her favourite Mommy moment: “Waking up in the middle of the night and seeing him next to me and realizing, ‘Oh, he’s still here! How fantastic! It’s not a dream.”
