Sanjaya Malakar is pitching Nationwide Insurance.
The American Idol reject is in a new ad that’s part of the company’s “Life Comes at You Fast” campaign.
Sporting a hairstyle similar to the ones he made famous while on the karaoke show, Sanjaya visits India to seek advice from a wise man who tells him he needs a retirement plan — and a haircut.
Check out the semi hilarious ad below!
Other celebrities who have poked fun at themselves in the campaign include such A-listers as Kevin Federline, Fabio and MC Hammer.

He’s baaaaaaaaaaaack!!
American Idol reject Sanjaya Malakar will soon star in a commercial for Nationwide Insurance as part of its “Life Comes at You Fast” campaign, which featured Kevin Federline last year.
In the ad, the faux-hawked, lady-loving crooner seeks advice at an Indian monastery. He’s told to not only come up with a retirement plan but to work on his hair.
Stay tuned for the premiere!

After arriving at the show with a tramped up Brooke Hogan, lady-loving ‘American Idol’ reject Sanjaya Malakar made the rounds at Tuesday night’s 2007 Fox Reality Channel Really Awards in Los Angeles chatting it up with a bevy of beautiful babes.
Mostly notably, the notorious Hollywood lotario was snapped macking his shiznit with a frozen-faced Janice Dickinson and a busted up (and out!) looking Hottie of ‘Flavor of Love’ fame.
It appears Sanjaya’s brooding charm and million dollar smile crosses all boundaries of age and race.
What a little stud!

‘American Idol’ hopeful Sanjaya Malakar was all smiles yesterday following last night’s taping of the hit karaoke show.
The East Indian heartthrob sang ‘Besame Mucho,’ which was remarkable because it was partly in español, and quite unbelievably, it was pretty OK. Celeb du jour Jennifer Lopez was impressed by him, which threw me for a loop, but he seems to charm the judges (or he’s paying them off, jury’s still out). To have J.Lo sing to you, wow. He really wasn’t half bad. Even Simon Cowell had something unmean to say. I didn’t say it wasn’t a backhanded compliment, but from Simon, that’s as good as gold. He said he didn’t understand a word, and that Sanjaya sung like a 14-year-old, “and I hate myself for saying it, it wasn’t horrible.” Score!
