Last week, PETA took aim at Donna Karan, sending members to her Manhattan store in Grim Reaper costumes with signs reading “Donna Karan: Bunny Butcher.”
The attack was in protest of the fashion designer’s use of fur in her work.
Yesterday Donna participated in the Urban ZEN Foundation’s mission to raise awareness and inspire change in the well being of families and children. The event was held at her centre, named after her late husband Stephen Weiss.
Miss Karan is heavily evolved in the peaceful teachings of the Kabbalah, which focus on the removal of every form of chaos, pain, and suffering from ones life. Evidently she feels differently about the treatment of animals verses people.

PETA – aka the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals — just came out with their 2008 Worst Dressed List, putting legendary soulstress Aretha Franklin at #1.
Say the animal rights militants: “When you waddled into the Grammys in yet another vulgar fur, you looked as if you were going to perform I Am the Walrus by The Beatles. You may be a queen, but you don’t know jack about compassion.”
Also making the dubious list are Marilyn Manson, Eva Longoria, Lindsay Lohan, Kate Moss and Aussie songbird Kylie Minogue.
What? No Trollsens?

Talk about crossing the line!
A PETA activist got into designer’s Donna Karan’s house and showed her a video, much to the designer’s surprise and dismay.
When Karan, who has been targeted by PETA throughout Fashion Week for using fur in her designs, finally came home, she was accosted by the infiltrator, who immediately turned on a graphic DVD of animals being harvested for their pelts.
A horrified Karan said, “I can’t watch this now. I have somewhere to be . . . I just really don’t have the time.” When the PETA lady protested, Karan said, “I’ve seen all these [videos], but for me it’s just purses and accessories.”
That prompted the PETA woman to shoot back, “But for me and millions of other people, these are animals. They suffer terribly as they are electrocuted, gassed and skinned alive for their pelts.”
According to McGraw, Karan said, “Look, nobody loves their dogs like I do . . . I feel like my privacy is being invaded. How did you get in here?” Then she walked away.
The house manager then told the infiltrator, “Whatever you were trying to do, you can forget about it,” before screaming at the doormen for letting the prankster in.
Karan didn’t get back to us, but PETA isn’t letting up. As the designer displays her collection today at her showroom on Greenwich Street, protesters wearing Donna Karan masks will be outside bludgeoning bloodied stuffed rabbits.
While we love animals and we’d do anything to protect them, breaking and entering is where we cross the line!

David Boreanaz shows he is a real Angel when it comes to animals after appearing in a new ad for PETA.
The hunky star, who now stars in the hit show Bones, appears in the advert with his dogs Fritz and Bertha Blue.
The ad also features the tagline: “Be your dogs’ Angel. Play with them, take them for nice long walks and don’t ever chain them.”

Wearing nothing but a pair of angel wings and holding her dog Zoe, fashion designer/diva extradonaire Kimora Lee Simmons urges people to “be an angel for dogs” in a new ad campaign for PETA.
Kimora wanted to do the ad to show off her naked desire to get people to make dogs a part of their families—not leave them tied up outside or cooped up alone at home all day.
“You cannot just chain up an animal. The chains are heavy, it’s cruel,” she says. “Dogs need to run and play,” she adds. That’s why Kimora has teamed up with PETA urging dog guardians to “play with them, take them for long walks, don’t ever chain or cage them.”
And if you can’t do that, just order one of your many paid servants to do it. Fabulosity!!

Eva Mendes was naked on the streets of Los Angeles today.
Well…..sorta.
The 33-year-old big screen babe unveiled her new “Fur? I’d Rather Go Naked” campaign poster for PETA on celebrity-filled Robertson Boulevard, just down the street from the Ivy restaurant. (She had planned to kick off the campaign earlier this month in New York City, but had to postpone due to illness.)
As for whether Miss Mendes felt a wee bit funny knowing her bare badonkadonk is going to be plastered on billboards everywhere, she told reporters, “I’m not going to lie. It will probably be weird when I see it. It’s going to be like, ‘Oh, wow, there it is.’ ”
Oh, wow, indeed!!!

PETA has been working on overdrive in recent months. First a new ad featuring a nude Eva Mendes. Then came the Trollsens. Now this?
Rocking little more than some M&M-coloured body paint and holding a banner that reads, M&M’s: Colors of Cruelty, PETA protested outside the M&M’s World store on Broadway Street in New York City today.
Other PETA militants handed out leaflets explaining how candy-giant Mars funds painful and deadly tests on mice, rats, guinea pigs, and rabbits.
The tests, PETA says, are done to determine the effects of chocolate ingredients on blood vessels.
Now tells us: Will you be more or less likely to buy Mars bars this holiday season after PETA’s allegations? (Btw, Hershey’s, Mars’ top competitor, has pledged not to fund or conduct experiments on animals.)

After dismissing requests and pleas to stop wearing fur and using it in their fashion collection, bone-thin twins Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen are about to get some publicity that will have them running away faster than if they’d spotted a calorie.
PETA2, the world’s largest youth animal rights organization, plans to launch its “Trollsen Twins” campaign by unveiling an ad featuring images of fur fiends Mary-Kate and Ashley in the most unflattering photo that PETA2 could find. (Admittedly, not a huge feat.) The ad, which carries the tagline “Fur Is Worn by Beautiful Animals and Ugly People,” will be unveiled today at noon at the Olsens’ Walk of Fame star on Hollywood Boulevard.
CLICK HERE to check out the hilarious site.
It features a ‘Fatal Fashion’ animated dress-up game complete with animal skins and the accompanying blood; a mash-up video called ‘Full House of Horrors,’ in which footage from the twins’ former TV show Full House is interspersed with scenes in which animals are killed for fur; and information about actions visitors can take to get through to the ethically challenged 21-year-olds, whose hearts are apparently as nutrition-starved as the rest of their bodies.
Says peta2 Assistant Director of Youth Campaigns Dan Shannon: “No one would argue that Mary-Kate and Ashley could use some meat on their bones, but the last thing they need is hair on their backs–especially when it belongs to someone else. These two are a couple of real lightweights when it comes to both taste and compassion.”

Joining the ranks of Alicia Silverstone, Christina Applegate, Kim Basinger and Pamela Anderson, big screen bombshell Eva Mendes, the latest star of the ‘I’d Rather Go Naked…’ ad campaign for the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, will unveil her ad on Thursday in New York City.
Police have begged PETA activists not to disclose too much information about the launch of their newest anti-fur poster campaign because they feared a New York “mob scene.”
Sexy Eva’s new poster — shot by renowned photographer Don Flood — will be unveiled in Rockefeller Plaza at some point tomorrow, but city authorities have asked the organisers not to announce the time or exact place of the event.
Mendes admits she was inspired to bare all for PETA by her beloved pet dog: “Killing a poor animal and wearing her fur isn’t cool. Respecting all life forms is cool.”
We couldn’t have said it better ourselves!

Catching Steve-O with his pants down probably wouldn’t come as a shock to most of his fans, but it’s what he’s dropping them for this time that might pleasantly surprise some of them!
The ‘Jackass’ star shed not only his pants but every stitch of clothing he was wearing to star in not one but two naked anti-fur PSAs for PETA.
Like Steve-O says: “Abuse yourself all you want, just leave animals out of it. Don’t wear fur.”
