After a rough few weeks of bad press, which included sex photos in Mexico and knife photos with drug lord Lindsay Lohan, loved up couple Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo appeared to have gone into hiding.
No interviews, no photos, no appearances, no nothing.
Now it appears that the tabloid darlings are finally ready to re-emerge. Looking all dolled up in matching outfits, Nick and Vanessa stepped out last night to party with friends at New York City hotspot Butter.
After a few drinks and shakes on the dancefloor, the seemingly smitten couple left hand in hand together at around 3 AM.
The former Miss Teen USA has no film or TV projects in the works, and the former Mr. Jessica Simpson hasn’t touched the Billboard charts since ‘What’s Left of Me’ in 2006. With all that free time, expect to see a lot more of these two lovebirds this summer.

Recent scandalous photographs have put strain on Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo. So the couple sat down with OK! magazine to set the record straight about pictures of the couple naked in Mexico and pics of Minnillo and Lindsay Lohan playing with knives.
Nick and Vanessa on the Mexico trip, during which the couple were caught naked in a hot tub: “Where’s the scandal? I was in Mexico with my girlfriend of a year, celebrating our anniversary on a private vacation. It’s not like I was caught with a Mexican hooker,” says Lachey. “We’ve all gone out and had a few too many and done something stupid. We’ve all made mistakes.”
Minnillo says the photos were “embarrassing. But we did nothing wrong. … I felt personally violated. If I was being disrespectful I would expect to be punished, but I wasn’t. It’s wrong.”
Nick and Vanessa on the Lohan photos: “When a photo like that gets more press than what you do, it’s sad,” says Minnillo. “It was a period of seconds, over a year ago. Yes, of course, it was bad judgment. Yes, of course I was embarrassed.”
Minnillo says she has not spoken with Lohan since the photos were released in June. “I haven’t seen her recently or talked to her. She’s trying to get herself better.”
Nick and Vanessa on Lachey’s marriage to Jessica Simpson: “It was best for both for us that it ended the way it did,” Lachey says, adding that he and Simpson have no contact. Lachey also says that his very public marriage to and divorce from Simpson has not soured him on the institution. “I still believe in it.”
Nick and Vanessa on whether they are seriously considering marriage: “The ‘m’ word has been mischief lately,” says Lachey, dismissing rumors of a pending wedding. “We’re enjoying each other’s company and we’re very happy, but we’re not looking too far ahead. The future will be what it will be. We’ll see where it goes.”

Uh-oh — remember THOSE racy shots of a naked Nick Lachey and his fame-seeking and equally naked girlfriend Vanessa Minnillo playing around in a jacuzzi while on a Mexican vacation? Well, there appears to be a whole lot more to the story.
TMZ has the dirt:
‘TMZ has learned that the rest of the roll shows the two not only making out, but having hardcore sex in the hot tub. A source who has seen the photos tells TMZ that they are “Paris sex tape-level scandalous,” and include images of the couple in several different sex positions.’
Needless to say, Nick and Vanessa’s attorney has shot out a cease and desist letter to anyone who dares to even think of publishing the XXX shots.
You know what that means, right? Photos of their naked asses doing the nasty will be on the net by the end of the week.
I suppose a congratulations is in order for Vanessa. She finally did it. From Miss Teen to skanky girl in a bikini on ‘Wild On’ to MTV hooch to full-fledged porn star. Attagirl!

Nick Lachey and his fame-seeking gal pal Vanessa Minnillo recently enjoyed a romantic vacay in sunny Puerto Vallarta, Mexico and it appears the good times and even better booze got the best of their judgment.
Throwing caution (and clothes) to the wind, the happy couple was snapped stripping down to nothing for a romantic dip in the steamy jacuzzi.

Stronger-than-ever couple Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo – who threw out the first pitch at a Cardinals-Reds game in St. Louis last week – are back in the Big Apple, braving the onslaught of flash-happy paparazzi in New York’s SoHo neighborhood after lunch at Cipriani yesterday.
Vanessa, the MTV VJ who is currently embroiled in a scandal involving disturbing photos of herself, cohort Lindsay Lohan and a very sharp knife, remained mum on the issue but was eager to yap about her renewed contract as spokesmodel for junior clothing chain Bongo.
“I’m truly thrilled,” she squeeled before making her way to a chauffeur car.
Being the consummate supportive boyfriend that he is, Nick simply sat there and looked pretty.

Ladies and gentlemen — introducing Hollywood’s latest see-and-be-seen 20something starlet.
With Lindsay Lohan in rehab, it appears MTV VJ Vanessa Minnillo is edging in on Lohan’s undisputed title and queen of the LA social scene.
She’s in the tabs with a knife to her neck, she’s all the buzz on Page Six, she’s gracing the current cover of Lucky magazine, and she’s showing up at any and all Hollywood events toting a red carpet.
While Miss Minnillo had no comment to make regarding the media mess she’s presently in at last night’s grand opening of club Joseph in Hollywood, the hungry-for-fame look in her eye said it all.
Eat it up, girlfriend. Your 15 minutes have officially begun and time is a-tickin’!

Painfully cute (and boring) couple Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo hit the beach while vacationing in the Bahamas. The lovebirds were at Paradise Island to attend the grand opening of the Cove Atlantis hotel.
While Vanessa’s beach bod is still in tip-top VJ shape, it appears Nick has packed on a few lbs and lost those famous abs.

Churchill Downs rolled out the red carpet and lined it with rose petals today for celebrities arriving for the Kentucky Derby.
Since the race itself lasts only a couple of minutes, NBC dragged out cute couple Vanessa Minnillo and Nick Lachey as part of a two-hour pre-show.
