Nick Cannon and Mariah Carey made their first public appearance last night as husband and wife at Time’s 100 Most Influential People gala at Lincoln Center in New York City.
New bride Mimi performed at the star-studded soirée while boy husband Nick watched on proudly.

We’ve got more deets from Mariah Carey’s surprise wedding to Nick Cannon straight from the upcoming issue of People mag, on stands Friday.
The happy couple said their I Dos at sunset at the beach on her estate in the Bahamas. He wore Balenciaga. She wore an off-white dress by Nile Cmylo. “And (Christian) Louboutins — I can wear high heels with Nick because he’s tall. Flats are not in my repertoire,” says the new bride.
Nick on their whirlwind affair: “It was a love-at-first-sight thing. Since we’ve been together, we’ve been inseparable.”Mariah on how friends knew they were getting serious: “One thing (few people) knew was we got tattoos a few weeks earlier. So anyone who saw my (”Mrs. Cannon”) tattoo wasn’t surprised. To me rings are special and exciting, but tattoos mean more than anything. They’re forever and ever.”
Nick on their connection: “From the first time we sat down to discuss the video at the Beverly Hills Hotel, we connected. … I was able to be myself with her. We are both eternally 12 years old.”
Mariah on plans to have kids: “It’s part of the whole purpose of getting married. I’d just want our children to have the best childhood and upbringing they possibly could.”

Even with a picture to prove it, we’re still have troubles believing that Mariah Carey married Nick Cannon late last month at her Bahamian estate.

Reformed lothario Nick Cannon and Victoria’s Secret model Selita Ebanks who, have been dating each other since they met at a Super Bowl weekend party in Miami, were engaged last night when Nick got down on one knee in Times Square and presented Selita with a 12-carat diamond ring while the words “Selita, will you marry me?” were projected on the MTV Jumbotron.
The all-star engagement was meticulously planned.
Nick and Selita attended the Metropolitan Museum of Art costume gala last night. They left in a chauffeured Rolls Royce and drove to Times Square where the MTV star popped the question. Needless to say, the Victoria’s Secret beauty said yes.
The couple celebrated the engagement at New York nightclub Butter where Nick surprised his lady love with the presence of her parents and best friends, whom he had secretly flown in earlier.
And that, ladies and gentlemen, is what you call a Hollywood engagement.
I give it a month.
