Natalie Portman recently unloaded her shaggy-haired rocker beau.

Now the big screen beauty is ditching her expensive West Village condo, which she’s owned since 2005.

The “Star Wars” minx has just gone to contract to sell her apartment in Richard Meier’s transparent tower at 165 Charles St. The condo last had an asking price of $6.55 million.

Included in the convertible three-bedroom, three-bath, fifth-floor apartment are views in three directions, a 32-foot balcony and a spacious great room. Building amenities include a 24-hour concierge, a fitness center, an infinity-edge lap pool and a screening room.

Portman, who recently ended her relationship with folk singer Devendra Banhart, bought the glassy 2,500-square-foot, river-fronting unit in 2005 for $5.7 million. She first listed the unit in June for $6.7 million.

According to the listing mortgage calculator, a 30-year mortgage at 6.5 % interest with 15% down ($982 500) would leave the buying paying $39 388 a month in mortgage and fees.

A somber Natalie Portman has surfaced following her headline-making break-up with Devendra Banhart.

The unlucky-in-love starlet was seen departing at LAX International Airport today en route to New York City.

In place of her her shaggy-haired folk rocker beau was her pooch Charlie.

Granted the dog can’t write songs, but he’s certainly cuter and likely sheds a whole lot less!

The stars continue to flood New York City for Fashion Week.

The latest? Natalie Portman. She showed up today to attend Derek Lam’s Spring 2009 show.

Unlike last night’s Marc Jacobs extravaganza which prompted a messy paparazzi stampede, today’s show was muted and sophisticated. Much like the American designer’s collection.

Devendra Banhart isn’t wasting any time enlisting girlfriend Natalie Portman in his latest project.

In the folk rocker’s new Bollywood-inspired music video for his latest single, Carmensita, Natalie plays the role of a princess whom Devendra must save with his “rebellious beard.”

Uhh…you gotta watch it to understand it.

Enjoy!

Natalie Portman and boyfriend Devendra Banhart had an early breakfast in a trendy West Village restaurant today.

After leaving the eatery with food to go, the two lovebirds took a short walk to a nearby parking garage and exited the garage in Natalie’s car.

Natalie and her singer-songwriter beau have been spotted all over the world in recent weeks. From Cannes, France to Jaffa, Israel, these two inseperable artsy-fartsies are redefining the notion of “jet set couple” as we know it!

INDIANA JONES STORMS CANNES

The cast, crew and fans of Indiana Jones were out in full force today during the Cannes premiere of Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull at the Palais des Festivals.

Stars Kate Capshaw, Harrison Ford, Cate Blanchett and Shia Labeouf were in their red carpet finest as they joined Indie enthusiasts Goldie Hawn, Star Jones, Rachel Leigh Cook, Salma Hayek, Adrien Brody and resident Cannes judge Natalie Portman at the worrld premiere of the fourth and latest installment in adventure series.

Meanwhile, despite a 19-year wait for this Steven Spielberg and George Lucas collaboration, some critics are saying it is not likely to go down as one of the most memorable runs. Writes Brtain’s Telegraph: “With a cast clearly pre-fabricated to appeal to all ages, an overstuffed plot and an ageing action hero, it feels born of commercial calculation rather than a story that needed to be told. There’s a reason the previous Indy film 1989 was called The Last Crusade. Now it’s really time to entomb this elderly series once and for all.”

Cate Blanchett wasn’t the only one turning heads today in Cannes.

Natalie Portman caused a firestorm of flashbulbs as she arrived at the Blindness premiere, stepping out in a bold purple strapless creation by Lanvin.

The 26-year-old actress, who is a member of this year’s festival jury, says of the honour: “I am extremely honoured to be part of this jury. Obviously Cannes represents the height of cinema from all around the world. It’s an incredible opportunity to get to see so many films, from so many different countries…. It’s a great pressure. It’s all these great films that we have to judge and to be in the position of a judge is very humbling, because all the filmmakers are so incredible and who am I to say something, but I will.”
