Let’s face it — much like his latest feature film, Fool’s Gold, the only time McConaughey’s on-screen presence is tolerable is when he’s barely clothed.

Kate Hudson and Matthew McConaughey take time out of their busy schedules to meet and greet fans on New York City set of MTV’s Total Request Live on Tuesday.
How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days opened at No. 1 nearly 5 years ago to this day and grossed more than $100 million and the big screen partners are attempting to recapture box office glory with their latest romantic comedy, Fool’s Gold.
So, how will it fare? Not very well according to recent reviews. Per the AP:
This painfully lifeless and lame romantic comedy from Hitch director Andy Tennant leaves you desperately wishing that someone - anyone - would swoop down and fix it. Pick up the pacing, juice up the chemistry, cut out 20 minutes, something. Because as it stands, there’s nothing romantic or comic about it.
Fool’s Gold opens everywhere on Friday.

Matthew McConaughey continues his endless promo campign for his latest romantic comedy, Fool’s Gold, by hitting up the Today Show in New York City on Tuesday.
He was supposed to yap about his new sure-to-be box office smash costarring Kate Hudson, but the 38-year-old dad-to-be only had fatherdom on his mind.
Matthew on his eagerness to show the world to his first child: “Well, that child is probably going to fill his passport pretty quickly. Culture and travel’s been the best education I’ve had in my life and my child’s going to have that, hopefully.”Matthew on his babymama, Brazilian beauty Camila Alves: “It’s the first woman that I’ve met that I haven’t met through friends. That doesn’t really happen too often. I saw her across the room and I couldn’t get my eyes off of her. So I invited her over and started making a margarita and then I noticed right away that this was not the kind of girl you just want to wave over. So I got my butt out of the chair, went over there and introduced myself and said, ‘You can come over and bring any of your friends you want to back to our table.’ And that’s what kind of got her to come over in the first place. And I haven’t wanted to ask anyone else out for the last two years.”
Matthew on how fatherhood may affect his nomadic lifestyle: “I do have a trailer. So I can pull it up to any backyard on any coast I want to. I worked hard to get a lifestyle and live in a place where I don’t have to wear a shirt or shoes. I’m going to keep working on it so I can put myself on a beach somewhere on the planet. Yeah, I enjoy the sunshine and I enjoy the summertime.”

Hollywood superstars Kate Hudson and Matthew McConaughey are all smiles as they brave the uncharacteristically high winds at the L.A. premiere of their new comedy, Fools Gold, at the Grauman’s Chinese Theatre on Wendesday night.
While an electric blue Kate hit the red carpet solo, Matthew was joined by his increasingly pregnant fiancée Camila Alves who was a true knockout in a sexy bump-hugging strapless number.
Meanwhile, Kate says she is convinced the media’s portrayal of her hunky costar is not accurate, insisting that his wild antics won’t affect his ability to be a great father.
She tells People, “I think he will be an incredible dad. I think because people see Matthew always out doing something whether (it’s) out dancing in a bar or being on the beach or taking a hike with some crazy bandana on, I think that, like anything, they take their image and what they want somebody else to be and then they just run with that. Matthew happens to be one of the most loving and loyal people I know and his family is important to him. He’s great with kids and I think he’ll be a very responsible and absolute blast of a dad.”

McBongos was all smiles today as he left the home he bought in Malibu before Christmas. Rocking some orange fleece and a beanie, the 38-year-old actor dropped by to check progress on the $10 million Hawaiian-style home which is being renovated before he and growing family move in.
Alves, who is three months pregnant, has been dating Matthew for more than a year. They announced the pregnancy yesterday.

“My girlfriend Camila and I made a baby together,” the actor announced on his website. “its 3 months growin in her womb and all looks healthy and lively so far.”

It was a galaxy of stars on Tuesday night as celebs from the worlds of movies, music and fashion collided at Dolce & Gabbana’s ‘The One’ fragrance launch party at The Grammercy Park Hotel in New York City.
A clothed Matthew McConaughey (the face of The One) was all smiles as he was joined by his Fool’s Gold costar Kate Hudson for a quick photo-op.
Fellow party attendees included supermodel Alek Wek, Anne Hathaway, Eva Mendes, Molly Sims, Petra Nemcova, Rosiario Dawson, Vanessa Carlton and, of course, Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana.
WWD reports sources estimate that the men’s fragrance could generate $100 million after its launch in March 2008 in global retail sales in its first year on counter.
Gabbana says there was a specific reason why they chose McConaughey to front the fragrance. “I wanted to create a real man’s fragrance,” he said, “who emphasized the word ‘uomo.’ I wanted it to be a classic — not a banal classic, but a classic men’s fragrance that would last for years and be the type of scent that women adore.”

Matthew McConaughey has decided that trailer living is no longer for him.
The perpetually shirtless actor has ditched his 28-foot, $65 000 Airstream RV for a fancy $10-million home on slightly more than an acre in Malibu.
McConaughey started looking at homes to buy and decided on one that wasn’t even on the market. After he personally knocked on the door, however, a deal was struck.
At 3,500 square feet, the house is not as large as many in Malibu. And it’s old — built in 1949. But its acre-plus lot has room to park a fleet of Airstreams. The home has four bedrooms and three bathrooms.
Three bathrooms?!?!
You know what that means, right? Some much needed showers. (Finally!)
