It was a big family outing yesterday as Marcia Cross and hubby Tom Mahoney made a rare public outing with their brand spankin’ new 4-month-old twin daughters, Eden and Savannah, at the Farmer’s Market in Los Angeles.

Despite the balmy temps and extreme heat, the fair-skinned ‘Desperate Housewives’ beauty was decked out in long sleeves, pants, a wide-brimmed hat and sunglasses, all as part of her live-by-example crusade to help protect people from the sun.

The 44-year-old redhead has spent her life covering up and wearing sunscreen and now she’s keen to pass on her tips to others as part of a Skin Cancer Awareness Month campaign.

Hmm…and here I was thinking Marcia was just going incognito the entire time.

‘Desperate Housewives’ stunner Marcia Cross (finally!) introduces her fraternal twin daughters, Eden and Savannah, in the latest issue of People magazine this week.

Marcia on motherhood: “I wanted to be a member of that club so badly, and now I’m in and it’s so much better than I even imagined. Even before I was 30 I started thinking about (it).”

Marcia on her new routine: “I feed, I burp, I change diapers, I pump.”

Marcia on the differences between her girls: “Savannah kicked all the time, and Eden was really quiet. Now Eden’s the feisty one and Savannah’s a little more Zen.”
