Madonna performed her “Sticky & Sweet” world tour to a sold-out house at Madison Square Garden, in New York City last night.
In her first show Stateside, the Material Mom lashed out at the Republican vice presdiential candidate, blasting, “Sarah Palin can’t come to my party. Sarah Palin can’t come to my show.”
And it didn’t stop there. After Madge was done with Sarah, she set her sights on Palin’s hubby. “Here’s the sound of Sarah Palin’s husband’s snowmobile when it won’t start,” she squawked, followed by a “loud screeching noise.”
But worry not. Madonna offered a: “It’s nothing personal” disclaimer shortly after her attack.

Madonna suited up to celebrate Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year, with 3-year-old son David at a Kabbalah Center in New York City today.
Meanwhile, following in the footsteps of her director husband Guy Ritchie, the Material Mom has made her debut behind the camera with the dark comedy Filth and Wisdom.
Described as a comedy/drama/musical/romance, Filth and Wisdom follows the lives of three roommates who must delve into mischievous and naughty behaviour in pursuit of bigger and brighter futures.
The flick is set to be released in October. Check out a preview below!

Madonna recently paid a flying visit to the Basilica di Santa Croce in Gerusalemme in Rome.
The trio arrived by car in the Botanical Gardens of the Basilica after flying from Germany by private plane. The gardens are considered mysterious and almost magical.
Normal practice would be that females wear a head covering though Madge opted to forgoe that tradition. She was, however, given a guided tour of the religious paintings and artifacts.
Some of the monks even gave her a rendition of an ancient Gregorian Chant.
Look for the Paul Van Dyk remix on the Material One’s upcoming album!

Madonna was seen departing at a private gym in London today, a day after playing the London leg of her Sticky and Sweet world tour.
The queen of reinvention was looking tired and haggard as she headed down the steps following a 2-hour workout.
Meanwhile, it appears we now know what was behind Gwyneth Paltrow and Kate Hudson’s smug smiles last night as they watched the Material One do her thing on stage. The two actresses were among the many who were let down by poor sound quality at Wembley Stadium.
Madonna message boards were inundated last night with complaints.
Here a just a few examples:
- “The sound for those of us in the seated areas was very, very poor… During a number of the songs being performed, people around me were discussing the price of bread - really.”
- “So many people were leaving before even halfway through the show. Near me there were a few boos and people losing interest… At times you would see her mouth move and the sound a few seconds later… at times we couldn’t even hear what song it was she was playing.”
- “The sound was terrible, we were sat in block 527 and we could not hear half of the songs, the baseline drowned everything out, absolutely the worst concert I have been to. There were riots going on outside our block as people couldn’t see the show and couldn’t hear the lyrics.”
- “Spent most of the evening lining up to sign the complaints book as the staff could do nothing.”
What’s more? Madonna didn’t arrive on stage until 40 minutes later than planned, which caused problems with some fans getting rail connections back into central London. Though we doubt Kate and Gwynnie were part of that crowd.

Less than 24 hours after celebrating her hubby’s 40th birthday, Madonna was back on stage performing to a soldout crowd. This time at London’s Wembley Stadium.
The 50-year-old mother-of-three is touring the world with her ‘Sticky and Sweet’ tour which is flying to 37 venues for the roadshow in just under four months.
Amongst the thousands of fans were her A-list pals Gwyneth Paltrow and Kate Hudson, who were snapped sharing a laugh as they watched Madge cavort her muscular body on stage for two hours.

Guy Ritchie drew a huge crowd as he arrived at his 40th birthday celebration at The Punchbowl in London tonight.
The birthday boy was joined by his entire family, including wife Madonna and their three kids, 8-year-old Rocco, 3-year-old David and 12-year-old Lourdes.
It has been a good week for Guy whose latest Brit gangster flick, RocknRolla, has grabbed the top spot at the the UK box office, taking over $3 million in its first three days.
As for what he wants for his big day? “Accolade and money.”

Don’t call Madonna lazy.
On a day off from her world tour, the 50-year-old pop diva visited a private gym in London today for an exhuastive workout.
Tomorrow it’s back to business as she takes her ‘Sticky & Sweet’ tour to a soldout audience at Wembley Stadium. Tomorrow also marks hubby Guy Richie’s 40th birthday.
So, what’s the famed director planning for his milestone birthday? Not much. “I’ve thought less about my 40th birthday than almost any other birthday,” he told reporters at the Toronto International Film Festival. “I’m not sure if that’s kind of an unconscious thing. But I have no plans. So I hope someone’s organizing something for me.”
But don’t expect a Madonna-sized bash, he said. “I paid for Madonna’s 50th,” Ritchie said of his wife’s party. “And unless someone’s prepared to pay the same amount for mine, it’s unlikely to be as big.”
Looks like Guy spoke too soon. After her workout with a private trainer, Madonna rushed back to the couple’s home. Likely to get ready for the big night ahead.

Following her soldout performance in Rome on Saturday, tireless pop star Madonna was seen leaving the Hotel Eden en route to a high end restaurant where she joined a handful of friends.
The Material Girl looked effortless chic in a simple LBD and matching Chanel purse.
Meanwhile, it appears Madge is making headlines in the Vatican (surprise, surprise) after she dedicated one of her earliest hits, Like a Virgin, to Pope Benedict XVI.
“I dedicate this song to the pope, because I’m a child of God,” the singer, who comes from a devout Italian Catholic background, told the Stadio Olimpico crowd of more than 60,000. “All of you are also children of God.”
For their part, Italy’s best-selling newspaper, Corriere della Sera, called Madonna’s dedication a “provocation” and just the latest in a long string of incidents that have raised the ire of the Catholic church.

It was all eyes on Madonna as she landed by private plane at Rome Ciampino Airport today.
The Material Mom is expected to present her ‘Sticky & Sweet’ tour at the Rome Olympic Stadium tomorrow night.
Meanwhile, despite currently being away from her children, the long arm of motherhood knows no boundaries. Madge has reportedly vetoed her 11-year-old daughter Lourdes’ plans to star in a new movie and banned her from any showbiz work until she has finished school.
The 11-year-old celebuspawn was apparently approached to appear alongside Paul Bettany and Dakota Fanning in the comedy drama The Secret Life of Bees.
But a source tells Star magazine, “Madonna didn’t work ’til after school and she wants it to be the same for Lourdes. She doesn’t want her to enter that harsh world.”
If Madonna’s acting chops are an indication of what lays ahead in Lourdes’ big screen career, perhaps it’s best she holds off a while (or forever!) from taking that big leap.

So much for plans for a divorce!
It appears Guy Ritchie and Madonna have decided to put their differences behind them for the sake of their respective careers.
The pair were all smiles at the premiere of his latest film, RocknRolla, after a torrid few months of speculation over their reportedly checkered love life.
During a press conference yesterday to launch the film, Guy offered a classic response when questions turned to his tempestuous relationship with Madge. “You’ve just got to love your wife,” he said. “Is that a boring enough answer?”
When asked to elaborate, he replied: “No I think I’ve said enough.”
