The stars stepped out in Paris today to watch British designer John Galliano deliver an ode to Vogue magazine during the kickoff Christian Dior show of Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week.
A-list guests including Liv Tyler, Janet Jackson and a very glamorous Eva Mendes gathered at the Rodin sculpture museum for the display, which launched three days of autumn-winter couture shows.
The Dior extravaganza was all about cinch-waisted jackets with extravagant folds at the waist. While skirts were translucent, evening gowns came in cascades of icy tulle sparkling with silver sequins.
Following the show, Janet said that she was busy preparing for the launch of her own line of lingerie later this year. “They’re classic,” she tells the AP. “There are some things that have a vintage feel to them.”
If Miss Jackson knows what’s best for her, she should get a quick tutorial from Galliano, who has the vintage look down pat.

Liv Tyler took some time out of her busy schedule yesterday to enjoy some time with her 3-year-old son
Milo at Pacific Park on the Santa Monica Pier.
Joined by her watchful nanny, mother and son went on a couple of rides and enjoyed the sights and scenery on their day of fun in the sun.
Liv is currently coming off a huge promo campaign for her latest box office release, The Strangers. Next up? Opening of the highly anticipated big screen adaptation of The Incredible Hulk.
All this comes following the recent announcement of her split with hubby Royston Langdon and news that her rocker father Steven Tyler checked into rehab for a “foot problem.”
Way to be a trooper, Liv!

Liv Tyler was spotted taking a walk through the West Village after visiting a local hair salon in New York City today. The newly single actress then headed back out with her 3-year-old son Milo to a neighbour’s house.
This is just not turning out to be the Tyler family’s month. Liv announced earlier this month that she is divorcing her husband of 5 years, British musician Royston Langdon. As if that wasn’t enough to handle, Liv’s father, rocker Steven Tyler of Aerosmith, just checked into a drug rehabilitation clinic in Pasadena.

Liv Tyler and her British rocker hubby Royston Langdon are calling it quits.
Thirty-year-old Liv and 36-year-old Royston married in 2003. They have a son, Milo. Here’s her rep’s statement:
“Liv Tyler and Royston Langdon have confirmed their separation. They remain good friends and devoted parents to their son Milo and are requesting that their family’s privacy be respected at this time.”
