She dons a slew of different dresses in The Duchess, but Keira Knightley had heads turning as she donned a bone-hugging strapless number to the film’s world premiere tonight.
In her backless cornflower blue gown with lacy tulle neckline and hem, the bone-thin star showed off her tiny waist as she worked her stuff for cheering fans.
While admirers couldn’t get enough of their favourite big screen beauty, there was one fan who managed to hold Keira’s attention the entire night — her boyfriend Rupert Friend, who joined his leading lady in a matching blue suit.

A camera-shy Keira Knightley was spotted making her way to a chauffeured vehicle following an in-depth interview at the Radio 1 studios in London today.
During her sit-down, the 23-year-old actress proclaimed that she doesn’t care if women hate her — because it is natural for females to loathe celebrities of the same gender.
Says Keira, “If you put yourself in the public forum, it’s what you put yourself up for. I don’t need to read it. Manipulation is something women do a lot. Women get obsessed with other women — love them or hate them. That line is very easy to cross.”
The Atonement star also responded to a quote from British newspaper The Guardian, which read: “If you want to befriend a woman, ask her the question: ‘What do you think of Keira Knightley?’ In the resulting torrent of bile and loathing, you will bond.”
Miss Knightley added: “I’m doing a good thing for women then.”

Kylie Minogue and Keira Knightley took top honours at the Elle Style Awards at the Westway in Notting Hill, west London on Tuesday.
Keira made up for her Bafta disappointment by scooping the best actress prize, while her Atonement co-star James McAvoy was named best actor.
Meanwhile, Aussie songbird Kylie was named Woman of the Year.
Honourable mentions go out to Hollywood starlet Kate Hudson who was crowned Elle Style Icon for her “distinctive and kooky” fashion sense.

Zellweger imitates Kim Novak in Vertigo, Gwyneth plays Grace Kelly to Downey Jr.’s Cary Grant in To Catch A Thief and Bardem teams up with Scarlett Johansson to recreate a scene from Rear Window.
The inspired spread also features Jodie Foster, Charlize Theron, Marion Cotillard, Naomi Watts, Keira Knightley and Jennifer Jason Leigh recalling classic scenes from The Birds, Dial M For Murder, Psycho, Marnie and Rebecca.
But perhaps the most eye-catching snapshot is that of chubby funnyman Seth Rogen running from a plane - just like Cary Grant did in Hitchcock’s North By Northwest.

James McAvoy and Keira Knightley continue their campaign for Oscar gold as the Atonement costars grace the upcoming issue of Entertainment Weekly.
In the issue, on newsstands tomorrow, Kiera, who has been nominated before for her role in 2005’s Pride and Prejudice, dishes on the Oscar season process. “For me it was the first time that anyone said that I could remotely act,” reveals the 22-year-old actress. “So going from just a pretty face whose sh*t to somebody being nominated for an Oscar was hilarious! And also I knew that I hadn’t got a f*cking hope in hell of actually winning it, so it took the pressure off. But I never read a script and go, ‘Ooh, that could be an Oscar!’”

Keira Knightley goes pop in the Winter 2007/2008 issue of Strut magazine.
In the special issue, the British beauty gets candid about life, love and her booming career.
Keira on her mission to prove that she’s more than just a pretty face: “I had been doing Pirates of the Caribbean for about two years, and as much as that was extraordinary and amazing, I wanted to do something completely different. I think that’s why I chose to do [these two two films.] I did Silk first and then I had five days off and went straight onto Atonement. I wanted to play these characters. I wanted something totally different from the Pirate experience.”
Keira on nude scenes: “Some actors are absolutely not comfortable with taking their clothes off and nudity, and that’s completely fine, but I am. I’ve always been fine with it. No one is completely comfortable with her body, everyone has insecurities, but it’s not about that. It’s about, for me, my body, my face, my head, my mind — everything; that’s the tool that I have to work with. I’ve never had a problem using it. Anything I felt uncomfortable with I’ve always said no to. So I only do nudity if I’m completely comfortable with the surroundings and I’ve talked to the director and he’s explained to me exactly what he wants in the shot and I’m fine with it.”

It was a British invasion in Hollywood last night, as Keira Knightley, James McAvoy and Vanessa Redgrave hit the red carpet for the American premiere of Atonement.
Looking demure in a floaty pink Rodarte dress, Keira told reporters: “this is a film that we’re all so excited to be a part of and the reception so far has been amazing, so to be here tonight in Hollywood is just amazing.”
The 22-year-old star pulled out all the stops for the big premiere of her critically praised flick, including debuting her new bangs.

On today’s ‘Ellen DeGeneres Show, host Ellen Degeneres asks Keira Knightley the burning question on everyone’s mind: Why do you love posing nude?
Keira: I don’t know. People ask and I just say yes.
Ellen: You just say ok?
Keira: Yeah, I will learn to say no. At the moment, my friends actually have bets going on that I can’t actually do a photo shoot keeping my clothes on.
Keira adds: I think I find it vaguely liberating, which I hope I don’t become a nudist.
Ellen: You’re on your way.
Keira: I am, I’m on my way.
Ellen: I don’t know why you put on clothes to come to the show.
Keira: Should I take them off now?
Ellen: No, no. We’re daytime.
