While Katie Holmes continues her rehearsals for her upcoming Broadway debut in All My Sons, husband Tom Cruise enjoyed some quality time with their daughter Suri at an indoor playground at Chelsea Piers today.
Work commitments have kept them apart in recent weeks, with Tom in Los Angeles and Katie preparing for her forthcoming play, but it’s clear to see their delight at all being together once again!
Meanwhile, as Katie continues rehearsals, Tom has had a lot of business to deal with in Hollywood. Earlier this week, his long-term producing partner Paula Wagner announced she was stepping down from her post as chief executive of his United Artists studio. But worry not — Mr. Cruise has some good news as well. He has secured a Christmas release date for his controversial World War II film Valkyrie, which, at one point, had been delayed until 2009.

It was another early day for Katie Holmes as she was spotted on her way to rehearsal at the Minetta theater for her upcoming Broadway debut in Aurthur Miller’s All My Sons on Saturday in Manhattan.
Rocking baggy and rolled up jeans (which seems to be her go-to look for rehearsals) and a grey fitted top with sandals, the Broadway novice will be on stage on September 21 with heavy weight stage thespians John Lithgow and Dianne Wiest.

Katie Holmes is truly a renaissance woman.
Not only did she support her hubby at last night’s Tropic Thunder in Los Angeles and then magically reappear back in New York City bright and early this morning for rehearsals, but the dedicated mom managed to cap off her day by spending some quality time with her daughter Suri at an indoor playground at Chelsea Piers.
Under the watchful eye of their security team, mom and daughter enjoyed a picturesque afternoon full of sandbox activities before being whisked away amid an increasing group of onlookers.
And while we’ve always claimed that two-year-old Suri is a little angel, it appears we were really on to something this time — would you check out that celestial glow!

All My Sons today in New York City.
Rocking skinny jeans, gladiator-style sandals and a crisp white button-down (an essential in any girl’s closet), the Broadway actress didn’t show any hints of jet lag despite her overnight cross-continental trip.
With all this flying back and forth, we hope Katie’s getting some shut-eye on board hubby Tom Cruise’s private jet! She’ll need her energy for her big Broadway debut next month.

It was all eyes on Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes as they attended the premiere of Tropic Thunder at the Mann’s Village Theater in Los Angeles on Monday.
Despite recent news that he had been bumped from the highly anticipated spy thriller Edwin A. Salt for Angelina Jolie, Tom was all smiles as he joined his wife at the star-studded event.
While Katie went glam in a stunning leather tiered bustier dress, Tom kept things casual in a pair of fitted jeans, a sharply cut blazer and every young man’s go-to footwear…white sneakers.
In the flick, Tom plays a middle-aged, profanity-spewing studio boss. His gig required him to rock a fat suit, fake large hands, and a fake bald wig.

Proving that she’s arguably the most jet set celebrity baby in the world, Suri Cruise was spotted boarding a private helicopter in New York City today.
Shortly after leaving her ongoing rehearsals, mom Katie Holmes packed up her adorable two-year-old little girl and headed to the West Side of Manhattan where a fancy red chopper was waiting for the mother-daughter duo.
Meanwhile, after filming an appearance on Eli Stone, ABC network president Stephen McPherson is singing Katie’s praise. “I was at the table read and she was fabulous,” he says. “It’s a great role for her. There’s some singing and dancing that she does, and she’s exquisite.”
The series centres around attorney Eli - played by Jonny Lee Miller (a.k.a. Angelina Jolie’s first husband) - who has an inoperable brain aneurysm that allows him to see the future. Katie is expected to play another attorney in the hour-long episode airing October 21.

It may be the weekend but that isn’t stopping
Katie Holmes from working hard on her craft.
While most of us were catching some much-needed zzz’s, the busy actress was up bright and early as she made her way to rehearsal in the Greenwich Village of New York City on Saturday for her Broadway debut of Arthur Miller’s, All My Sons play.
Meanwhile, it appears that Mrs. Cruise is taking her affinity for hideous jeans to a new level. After a two-week stint of wearing her trademark rolled-up boyfriend jeans, the fashionista changed it up today by donning a pair of high-waisted, wide-leg, belted jeans.
We never thought we’d say this, but BRING BACK THE SKINNY JEAN!!!

Remember earlier today when we said that the perpetually drab Katie Holmes should start taking style advice from her daughter Suri Cruise?
Well, it appears that Katie has heeded our advice!
The Broadway actress stepped out in Manhattan today rocking a strikingly similar polka dot dress as she made her way to rehearsal for All My Sons. Even their sparkly gold flats were nearly identical!!
Meanwhile, style critics are weighing in on Katie’s new pixie cut. “This whole sort of fashion evolution since becoming Mrs. Tom Cruise, I think it has taken her time to find her sea-legs,” says Stacy London, co-host of TLC’s What Not to Wear. “This haircut is clearly a step in the right direction.”

Taking a break from rehearsal duties, Katie Holmes enjoyed an afternoon of R&R with her 2-year-old daughter Suri Cruise at the park in New York City on Thursday.
