Katherine Heigl and hubby Josh Kelley were spotted lunching at the Mustard Seed Cafe in Los Angeles today.
This is the Grey’s Anatomy actress’ first public appearance since dropping out of Emmy contention.
Earlier today, Katherine, who won best supporting actress last year, quit the Emmy race, telling The Los Angeles Times: “I did not feel that I was given the material this season to warrant an Emmy nomination and in an effort to maintain the integrity of the academy organization, I withdrew my name from contention,” She added, “In addition, I did not want to potentially take away an opportunity from an actress who was given such materials.”
Hmm, think that’s a slam at the Grey’s writers? And if so, is it justified?

Katherine Heigl spends the holiday weekend shopping for furniture with her mother, aunt and assistant on Robertson Blvd in Los Angeles.
The foursome picked up several bags and boxes of merchandise before stopping at baby boutique Bel Bambini to pick up a gift wrapped package.
Could that loose-fitting poncho be concealing the beginnings of a baby bump? After all, Grey’s Anatomy is done for the season and she has no big projects coming up after she wraps up filming The Ugly Truth alongside Gerard Butler next month.

Looking downright electric in blue, Katherine Heigl cuts a fashionable figure (Uggs and all!) after shooting scenes for the upcoming romantic comedy The Ugly Truth at Union Station in Los Angeles on Monday
The 29-year-old knockout recently made headlines after sources revealed she’s “ready to move on” from Grey’s Anatomy.
When photogs prompted the primetime beauty with questions over the rumours, Katherine quickly went into action implementing the tried, tested and true cell phone distraction plan and effortlessly avoided givnig any answers.

Bare shoulders were plentiful on one-shoulder Grecian gowns and sleeveless structured bust-lines at Sunday night’s 80th Annual Academy Awards in Los Angeles.
Katherine Heigl, who wore red, the colour of the night (especially on her cheeks), paired her Escada gown with a Marilyn Monroe-inspired blond bob.
The Grey’s Anatomy beauty’s one-shoulder, cinched-waist gown had a keyhole detail that added a nice couture touch.

Following an exhuastive weekend promoting her new flick 27 Dresses (or 27 Robes as it’s otherwise known), TV star-turned-big screen leading lady Katherine Heigl enjoys an afternoon of shopping with her mother in glorious Paris on Monday.
Does the ever-present paparazzi make you feel sorta sorry for the Grey’s Anatomy beauty as she tries to enjoy a mother-daughter day off? Save your pity.
Katherine says she feels sorry for the scores of paparazzi who spend hours following her around — because her life is boring.
In a new interview, Dr. Izzie claims she was shocked at the number of snappers waiting outside her house the day after her Emmy success in November last year — when she won Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series. But she doesn’t mind the intrusion - because it is all part of being a successful Hollywood actress.
Says the camera-friendly starlet: “The paparazzi are a whole new deal to me. It started slowly, I’d see one or two every once in a while and then one day after the Emmys there were 20. I was like ‘Arrrrgh!’ I feel guilty, though, because I never do anything interesting and they’ve waited outside my house all day. I often complain about people moaning about the paparazzi because if you want the money you make and the big movie roles, then it’s the price you have to pay.”

Looking ready for Spring, small screen siren-turned-big screen beauty Katherine Heigl is all smiles during a photocall in Berlin to promote her latest smash hit comedy, 27 Dresses, on Wednesday.
After showing off a shocking short bob during the Madrid premiere earlier this week, the Grey’s Anatomy stunner kept her newly cropped coif basic with a simple blow out to highlight her new layers.
Though hubby Josh Kelley remained Stateside, distance is only making their hearts grow fonder. At his recent album party at Chicago’s Rockit Bar and Grill, the guitar-playing crooner told People mag: “It’s feels unbelievable to be married. I thought that [being married] wasn’t that different [from dating], but actually it is so different. My mentality changed from being a boyish man to a man’s man.”

She’ll soon be back on the job now that the writers strike seems to be resolved, but today Grey’s Anatomy star Katherine Heigl is hyping her 27 Dresses movie in Madrid.
Meanwhile, back Stateside, Katherine’s latest box office smash has raked in a solid $65.4 million in only four weeks, edging itself that much closer to the coveted $100 million mark.
You know what that means — 28 Dresses!!!

Katherine Heigl and her musician hubby Josh Kelley were shocked when upon leaving their Hollywood Hills house today they found out that one of their vehicles had been burglarized!!
After realizing that the car window was smashed and the GPS system had been stolen, Josh exclaimed ” thieves suck!”
Following a quick clean up of the broken glass with a pair of white sport socks on his hands, Josh and his wife — who was showing off her new mega diamond wedding ring — took off first to their new house which is under renovation to meet up with Katherine’s mother.
Afterwards the group headed off for a bite to eat at a nearby restaurant. When finished Katherine made a quick stop at McDonalds before heading back home.
All’s well that end’s well.
