Joined by Hollywood gays Ryan Seacrest and Michael Feinstein, ‘American Idol’ reject Katharine McPhee poses on the red carpet at the Young Musicians Foundation 53rd annual gala in Beverly Hills on Friday.
For some inexplicable reason, the event was hosted by Seacrest — despite the fact that he single-handedly ruined the recent Primetime Emmy Awards when he emceed the event.
Special guests McPhee, Feinstein and Clint Eastwood were all on hand at the black tie affair to pay tribute to the chairman of YMF’s Board, the late Merv Griffin.
A gay ole time was had by all.

She’s baaaaaack!
Gwyneth Paltrow splashed in the pages of September’s W magazine, out nationwide August 17, as she prepares for the October release of brother Jake’s romantic comedy ‘The Good Night’, in which she plays the girlfriend of a washed-up pop star. Miss Paltrow also has been busy filming the action thriller ‘Iron Man’ with Robert Downey Jr.
As for whether Gwyneth sees more kids in her future? “I have a dream version where I think, maybe in four years I’ll have two in a row really quickly again — how fabulous to have a whole bunch of them! But then at that point, when everyone’s potty-trained and sleeping through the night, are you really going to go back? … My husband really wants to adopt. So I don’t know; I’m sort of open for anything.”

Following in the erratic steps of counterpart Britney Spears, ‘American Idol’ reject Katharine McPhee buys herself a Chihuahua puppy from the Bel Air Pet Shop in Los Angeles in Sunday.
The sexy songstress was celebrating her recent offer to join the cast of an upcoming yet-to-be titled Adam Sandler-produced movie. McPhee will play a wild sorority member who is taken under the wing of Playboy Bunny-turned-den mother, Anna Faris.

Sexy songstress
Katharine McPhee was all smiles today when photogs caught up with her leaving the uber hip Urth Cafe in West Hollywood.
So, what’s got the ‘American Idol’ reject so giddy? After a relatively failed attempt at singing, the gorgeous gal is taking another stab at fame by acting. McPhee has been cast as a sorority girl in an upcoming Adam Sandler-produced movie that does not yet have a title.
According to Entertainment Weekly, the fame-starved poplette will “co-star” alongside funny girl Anna Faris, who plays a Playboy bunny who has been evicted from the mansion. Anna becomes a den mother to a super lame sorority, of which Katharine is a member.
The cherry on top? Rumer Willis also has a role.
It will reportedly begin shooting late this summer.

Girlfriend can’t churn out a hit single if her life depended on it but Katharine McPhee sure knows how to take a sexy photo.
Now is it just me or have Kat’s legs not been Mariahfied?
Katharine on older men: “When I turned 21, I thought it was a good age to explore. You’re no longer a teenager, so it’s OK [to date older guys]. I gravitated toward them, and I love them. They’re just wiser, and they’re less about themselves and more about you.”
Katharine on her new album: “People made a big deal out of that. They said, ‘She’s a slut, blah, blah, blah.’ But I’m really not showing that much skin. It’s all suggested.”
Katharine on having a strong male following: “I was prematurely developed. As a freshman I looked like a junior; I had boobs. Some of the older kids saw me in the yearbook and said I was cute.”

With her champagne glass in hand (and mouth), ‘American Idol’ reject Katharine McPhee channeled her inner lounge act last night at the fourth anniversary party for Vegas Magazine at the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino yesterday in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Also the closing party for CineVegas, Las Vegas’ film festival, Vegas Magazine’s fourth anniversary was a nighttime spectacular, a smoking hot poolside party and star- studded affair. For four years, Vegas Magazine has chronicled the people to know, the places to be seen and properties making waves on the Las Vegas radar screen.
Other celebs and non-celebs who attended the event included Dennis Hopper, Bai Ling, Criss Angel, Kim Kardashian and tennis star/Paris Hilton’s former flame Mark Philippoussis.

Katharine McPhee was among the many faces last night as BMI staged its 55th Annual Pop Awards, honouring the Bee Gees as Pop Icons; Kara DioGuardi and Sean Garrett as Songwriters of the Year; ‘Because of You’ as Song of the Year; and Warner/Chappell Music as Publisher of the Year.
Rocking a retro-inspired halter dress, the ‘American Idol’ reject performed the great Bee Gee’s hit, ‘Immortality.’
