Photogs caught up with Julianne Moore as she hailed a cab in the West Village neighbourhood of New York City yesterday and headed to Da Silavano to meet some friends for dinner.
The ageless actress was wearing a huge white scarf as cooler temperatures hit the New York area.
Julianne is coming off her recent trip to Toronto where she was promoting Blindness, her latest big screen effort. In the film, she plays a doctor’s wife who is the only person to keep her sight after a whole city turns blind.
Despite a star-studded cast (Gael Garcia Bernal, Danny Glover, Mark Ruffal, Sandra Oh), critics say the flick is “bleak” and “depressing.” Sorta like Julianne’s rather drabby ensemble.

She may be approaching her 48th birthday, but Julianne Moore is still as hot as ever!
The actress/mother of two looked stunning as she posed for Wonderland magazine. And she revealed that her husband Bart Freundlich thinks she is strange because of the dark roles she chooses.
“He thinks I’m weird,” she said. “There was a script I read recently where I was like, ‘Ooh this horrible thing happens and it’s really good because they’re all dead!’ He’s like, ‘What is the matter with you?’”
In Julianne’s latest film, Savage Grace, she plays disturbed 1920s socialite Barbara Baekeland and shares a shocking sex scene with her screen son.
“People ask all the time if sex scenes and nudity are hard,” she said. “What’s hard? Not the lines or the physicality but the emotion.”

Meanwhile, Blindness actress JULIANNE MOORE went basic in black, accessorizing her sleeveless number with booties and a belt as she hit up the Ed Sullivan theatre for a taping of The Late Show.

Clad in a Dolce & Gabbana fur jacket and high-waisted Acne jeans, the always stunning Julianne Moore graces the September issue of Another Magazine.
Inez Van Lamsweerde + Vinoodh Matadin photographed the actress, who’s promoting ‘Savage Grace’, for the cover and inside feature, titled ‘America’s Most Enigmatic Actress, a Legend Yet to be Defined.’
To celebrate the magazine’s gorgeous covergirl, the mag will host a glitzy dinner on September 9 at The Bowery Hotel in New York City.

With her kids Caleb and Liv in tow, Oscar-nominated actress Julianne Moore stepped out in New York City yesterday with her BFF Ellen Barkin for a quick bite to eat before the gang hit up a few retail stores for some pre-4th of July shopping.
No big news, I understand, but check out what a chip off the old block 5-year-old Liv is. The red hair, the abundance of freckles, the love for that camera.
Something tells me we have another serious actress in-the-making on our hands!

With the help of a handful of fashion insiders and A-list stars, Cartier announced the launch of a new LOVE collection last night in New York City, which includes the new LOVE Charity bracelet, and the launch of a national charity initiative.
Joining Cartier in this charity endeavor were a number of notable celebrities including Eva Mendes, Faith Hill & Tim McGraw, Julianne Moore, Debra Messing and R&B songstress Rihanna.
Since the Cartier LOVE bracelet was introduced more than 30 years ago, it has become one of the most coveted jewelry designs in the world and the ultimate symbol of love. Last year, Cartier donated more than $1.2 million to eight global charities from the sales of its LOVECHARITY bracelet, and due to the enormous success, this year Cartier will celebrate LOVEDAY with a new LOVECHARITY bracelet. The company aims to exceed last year’s donations as a number of new celebrities join the endeavor.
