Katherine Heigl isn’t letting rumours that she’ll soon be killed off (via a brain tumor) from Grey’s Anatomy get in the way of her rock & roll lifestyle.
The ungrateful actress and her rocker hubby Josh Kelley were all smiles as they hit up the Coldplay concert last night at the Forum in Inglewood, CA.
Surprisingly, little Miss Izzie remained mum when photogs asked her about recent remarks she made after withdrawing her name from the Emmy ballot. We’re not quite sure if she’s finally learned her lesson or whether she’s still got that foot jammed in her mouth.

Enjoying her summer hiatus from Grey’s Anatomy, Katherine Heigl and hubby Josh Kelley ran for the border over the weekend for a little fun in the sun in Cancun.
The gorgeous newlyweds were decked out in their vacation best as they were spotted arriving in Mexico yesterday to kick off their romantic getaway.
Meanwhile back at home, an editor at NY Magazine has lashed out at Katherine following her decision to bow out of this year’s Emmy eligibility. This one is a must-read, guys!
Dear Katherine (Kate? Katie?),
So you’ve acted out once again (no pun intended!). You’ve withdrawn your name from Emmy eligibility, because, in your words, ”I did not feel that I was given the material this season to warrant an Emmy nomination.” And now you’ve started a fight with the writers of Grey’s Anatomy. Their feelings are hurt, Katie: “It’s an ungrateful slap in the face,” one show insider told EW. You actually won the Emmy for supporting actress last year, which was really so lovely for you. So why, this year, are you so sure your material doesn’t even warrant a nomination? Let’s think.
Okay, Heigl, we agree that Izzie’s story lines have become increasingly marginal and unbelievable. Lately, everyone on the show seems to think that Izzie’s completely irritating. So do we! We actually groan aloud when your perky face appears onscreen! There’s a theory we have about this, Katherine, so listen closely. Have you ever thought that maybe the writers are incorporating your own personality into that of your character? Because we read a lot of women’s magazine and gossip sites, and we think we kind of know you at this point. And guess what? You’re totally annoying and self-righteous, just like Izzie!
Of course, we, too, were offended by Isaiah Washington. He called your on- and-off-screen best friend, T.R. Knight, a faggot, and that’s just uncalled for. You established yourself as Knight’s defender and kept speaking to the press about how Washington should be fired. So we guess that’s nice of you and all, but you really should have let your friend fight his own battle. You ended up looking pretty darn priggish.
And then (and then!) you called your own hit movie, Knocked Up, “a little sexist.” You have a right to your opinion, and we might even agree with you. But you were Apatow’s first choice for that movie, you did it, you made lots of money, and it made you a certified movie star. What possessed you to bash it? Do you think you’re above the work that you do? It was a comedy, and you profited tremendously. You’re no Streep, honey, and even she does Abba with a smile.
Now we’re going to throw you a bone: We think you’re a talented comedic actress. That’s right, your timing is much better than most, and you have a goofy onscreen persona that combines nicely with your California-girl looks. Plus, My Father the Hero was one of our favorite movies growing up, so we’ll always have a soft spot for you, Heig-y. Though last week, in a dark moment, we watched 27 Dresses on demand. Now that was a case of writers messing up your material.
So please take our advice. Grey’s Anatomy is a soap opera. Get off your high horse, missy. You talk all about the integrity of the Academy? Ha! You know they’re giving an Emmy to a reality-TV show host this year, right? Stop pissing off your writers and directors and castmates. We want to like you, Katherine, really. Please stop making it so hard to do so.

Katherine Heigl and hubby Josh Kelley were spotted lunching at the Mustard Seed Cafe in Los Angeles today.
This is the Grey’s Anatomy actress’ first public appearance since dropping out of Emmy contention.
Earlier today, Katherine, who won best supporting actress last year, quit the Emmy race, telling The Los Angeles Times: “I did not feel that I was given the material this season to warrant an Emmy nomination and in an effort to maintain the integrity of the academy organization, I withdrew my name from contention,” She added, “In addition, I did not want to potentially take away an opportunity from an actress who was given such materials.”
Hmm, think that’s a slam at the Grey’s writers? And if so, is it justified?

Katherine Heigl and her musician hubby Josh Kelley were shocked when upon leaving their Hollywood Hills house today they found out that one of their vehicles had been burglarized!!
After realizing that the car window was smashed and the GPS system had been stolen, Josh exclaimed ” thieves suck!”
Following a quick clean up of the broken glass with a pair of white sport socks on his hands, Josh and his wife — who was showing off her new mega diamond wedding ring — took off first to their new house which is under renovation to meet up with Katherine’s mother.
Afterwards the group headed off for a bite to eat at a nearby restaurant. When finished Katherine made a quick stop at McDonalds before heading back home.
All’s well that end’s well.

On the same night Katherine Heigl premiered her film 27 Dresses and donned a glittering, knee-length Bill Blass silver dress to walk her first red carpet in 2008, the actress found out that her brightly-lit new year would, in fact, be one dress short.
Just before her silver pumps hit the red carpet Monday evening in Los Angeles the Globe-nominated actress heard the news: no Golden Globes telecast on Sunday.
Nonetheless, Izzie was cheery and radiant. Maybe it’s that new bride glow? Clutching new hubby Josh Kelley, Katherine told reporters: “I’ve called him ‘husband’ about four or five times now. There’s something about being married that feels safe.”

With their I Dos out of the way, newlyweds Katherine Heigl and Josh Kelley are all smiles as they begin their week-long honeymoon in Los Cabos, Mexico on Wednesday.
While the Grey’s Anatomy beauty was typically glamorous in chic resort wear accented with a bold red wide-brimmed hat, her crooner hubby kept is basic in jeans and a t-shirt.
Meanwhile, in the new issue of OK! magazine, Katherine dishes on what it feels like to finally be married. “We’re elated!” gushes the 29-year-old actress. “We have never lived together.” Adds Josh: “We don’t even sleep in the same bed when family is around!”
As for whether there are kids in the near future, the new bride says: “I’d like to start talking children seriously in the next year but Josh feels more like two years, so we’ll probably do a year and a half.” And Josh’s take on the matter? “My view is, let’s take it one day and one child at a time!”
There’s no time like the future, you two crazy kids!

A winter wedding to singer Josh Kelley was exactly what Katherine Heigl wanted for Christmas.
In the upcoming issue of OK! magazine (on newsstands Friday), the Grey’s Anatomy beauty says: “We incorporated lots of big evergreens in the reception with twinkle lights and Christmas decorations.”
The 30-minute sunset ceremony on December 23 in Park City, Utah, included traditional vows as well as those written by the couple.
The wedding party consisted of Katerine’s sister, Meg, who was matron of honor, as well as three bridesmaids and four groomsmen, including Kelley’s brother Charles as best man and Grey’s co-star T.R. Knight.
The bride, who wore a sleek dress by Oscar de la Renta, said she was most moved by a musical tribute to her brother, Jason, who died in 1986, and Kelley’s sister who died as a baby.

Katherine Heigl is all smiles as she checks on the progress of her new $2.5 million home in Beverly Hills on Monday.
The Grey’s Anatomy beauty and fiance Josh Kelley were snapped yesterday as they made a trip to their new home to chat with on-site contractors.
Katherine and Josh are set to marry over the holidays and are keen to have the house complete when they return from their honeymoon.
Following their construction briefing, Hollywood’s happiest couple spent the day shopping at a mall in Glendale, CA where they skipped over the retail, opting to engage in some shameless kissing and cuddling.
As the writers continue with their neverending strike, it’s nice to see Dr. Izzie spending her time off the set so constructively.

Katherine Heigl and her fiance Josh Kelley grab healthy drinks and cuddle up in sunny Los Angeles on Thursday.
The pair were spotted entering a healthy natural shake shop where they spent about 15 minutes looking at the shake mixes and buying some drinks to go.
They were in a great mood and the Grey’s Anatomy beauty sunggled up to her crooner beau as they paid for the beverages but not before they both downed some small shots and chatted with a customer who was also in the store.

As the writer’s strike winds down, Grey’s’ Anatomy beauty Katherine Heigl enjoys her time off with fiance Josh Kelley during a little shopping spree at Blue Rooster Art Supplies in Los Angeles on Tuesday.
The loved up couple browsed the ultra hip decor store for nearly an hour before leaving with armfuls of artwork.
As for the their upcoming wedding, Josh tells People magazine that he is letting his fiancée take the lead in planning.
“I’m kind of a part of it,” Josh says about the nuptials. “But I think she’s got a pretty good handle on it.”
Dr. Izzie Stevens is set to tie the knot with her crooner beau on December 23.
