Joe Simpson is all smiles as he departs Mr Chow after dinner with future son-in-law Pete Wentz on Thursday in Beverly Hills.
After some good eats, the men-only crew enjoyed an endless flow of beer and wine. The nearly $1000 tab was picked up by the future father-in-law, of course.
But it wasn’t only the Fall Out Boy bassist and his boys who were enjoying a wild night out. Jessica and mother Tina Simpson also hosted a bachelorette bash for imminent bride-to-be Ashlee Simpson last night.
Kiki De Montparnasse, a luxury lingerie brand, hosted (read: flipped the bill) for the event.
The soiree was held at the Simpson family home in Encino, CA, where tents were spotted being erected earlier in the day.

A casual Jessica Simpson makes her escape from the paparazzi after joining her family at the Original Pancake House in Dallas, Texas on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, a slew of second-rate celeb blogs reported yesterday that the blonde starlet was set to star in a remake of the Julia Roberts movie Pretty Woman. Her father/manager Joe Simpson had apparently been telling anyone who will listen that she’s the next Julia.”
WRONG!!
Jessica’s publicist, Lauren Auslander, has confirmed to FYB that the story is in fact all make-believe, saying: “There is no truth to this. Jessica is in Nashville recording a country album.”

For those of you who missed the photo of Tony Romo and Jessica Simpson on the cover of People magazine, one look at the jersey she was wearing at the Dallas Cowboys’ game Sunday showed who her new beau is.
“Romo!” the blonde starlet said when television cameras spotted her in the stands during Dallas’ 10-6 loss to Philadelphia.
Jessica was wearing a pink Cowboys No. 9 jersey and sitting in a luxury box with her parents, Tina and Papa Joe Simpson.
In a strange twist of fate, it was exactly this time last year that Romo was dating country bumpkin Carrie Underwood. And in fact, she too was in a luxury box last December when Dallas played Philadelphia.
Truly eerie!

Jessica Simpson has her dad
Papa Joe Simpson to thank for her budding new romance.
The wannabe actress was reportedly set up on a date with Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo by her dad Joe, after he realized the pair were perfect for each other. (You mean, more perfect than Joe and Jess together?)
A Pal of Jessica’s tells Page Six:
“Joe and Tony have been friendly for a while. Joe is a huge Dallas Cowboys fan, and Tony has always had a crush on her - he even said on his website about a year ago that it was his dream to date her. Jessica has been in Nashville and Dallas recording her new country album. When Tony found out, he called Joe and said, ‘I know she’s not dating anyone right now, can I take her out for a drink at least?’ Jessica said it was OK for Joe to give Tony her number and they hit it off. They’ve been dating for a couple of weeks now, and Jessica is so happy. She’s been texting everyone about how great he is.”
This is certainly not the first time Joe has set up his daughter. He has previously been spotted giving out busty Jessica’s number to attractive men at parties.
In September, a partygoer said: “Joe was chatting to a handsome guy and told him Jessica was single. He gave the hunk his assistant’s number and said he’d set him up with her.”

Going from emo to primo in less than 4.5 seconds, Ashlee Simpson leaves jaws dropped to the floor as she graces the red carpet at The 2007 CosmoGIRL! Born to Lead Awards in New York City on Tuesday.
The lip-syncing sensation is being honoured for her off-the-charts fabulousness!
She’s dating Fall Out Boy’s Pete Wentz (who was also in attendance), proved her naysayers wrong by wowing ‘em as Roxie Hart in London’s production of Chicago last fall and has a brand new “fun party album” (her words!) coming out early next year.
Other celebs at the soiree included Raven Symone , American Idol alum Jordin Sparks, and, of course, Papa Joe Simpson.

Singer-turned-failed actress Jessica Simpson steps out for an evening with the fam on Tuesday night.
Rocking a casually conservative outfit and an oversized patent leather bag with this season’s must-have Louis Vuitton leopard print scarf draped over it, the blonde beauty joined mom Tina and Papa Joe for some fine eats at the upscale Bakersfield, CA eatery Cafe Med.
Lil’ sis Ashlee was nowhere to be seen. Which was music to Joe’s ears. It gave him more time to gawk over Jessica.

Papa Joe Simpson channeled his inner protective parent on Sunday night in Vegas, when a security guard reportedly shoved his daughter Ashlee into a wall.
The NYDN reports that Ashlee, boyfriend Pete Wentz and Joe were trying to make their way out of the Decaydance/GQ party at the Mirage’s Jet nightclub when Pete got shoved by a security guard, “knocking Ashlee against a wall.” That’s when Papa Joe went flew off the handle and tried to protect his little Ashlee.
After a barrage of punches and spit hurls, Joe told reporters, “When somebody messes with my baby, then it’s over.”
As for Joe’s explanation for the violent altercation? Tha father/sven gali suggested that the bouncers are “just mad they make $12 an hour.” As opposed to the millions he is able to milk from his daughters.
