Jessica Simpson was mobbed by photogs as she and her former assistant
CaCee Cobb along with her hair stylist
Ken Paves left together after having dinner at Madeos restaurant in West Hollywood on Saturday.
Jessica looked surprisingly stylish rocking a sleek origami pleated strapless dress in steel grey. She added some fierceness to her looks with giant glittery hoop earrings. Her golden blond hair, cascading down the shoulders, framed her face. The makeup: light with glossy lips.
Upon their exit, Ken valiantly tried to protect Jessica from the paparazzi and in the ensuing melee was punched in the face and bled profusely as he was driven to Cedar-Sinai in West Hollywood for stitches.
Jessica left the scene unharmed.

Taking a break from her aspiring country music career, a typically gorgeous Jessica Simpson was all smiles as she departed Beso restaurant in Hollywood last night following a dinner date with her stylist Ken Paves.
The actress/singer kept her look casual yet stylish rocking a black wrap top, flared jeans and an oversized hobo bag.
Meanwhile, in a new interview with E! Online, Jessica admits that she came close to quitting her music career following criticism of her Dolly Parton tribute performance in 2006.
“You know, what happened at Kennedy Center, I really thought I was done singin’,” she says. “I was just at a place where I’d lost a lot of confidence and I didn’t even know who I was. But Dolly totally took me under her wing and helped me up and over the cares of the world. It went from the Kennedy Center to her being a part of this record and getting letters from her of encouragement. She told me she’s never been more proud of anything in her whole life. And I have it written down in her handwriting! I do owe a lot of my confidence to her.”
Asked if she has any more acting projects lined up, Miss Simpson replied: “Hopefully there’s more acting to come. I’m not closing that chapter of my life by any means. But I am all about the music right now.”
We’re still not sure whether that’s good news or not….

Check out some just-release exclusive shots of Jessica Simspon and her loved ones celebrating her birthday at Sagebrush Cantina in Calabassas, CA earlier this week.
Joined by friends and family, including her football player BF Tony Romo, her sister Ashlee Simpson and her new hubby Pete Wentz, Jessica got an early start to cebrating her 28th birthday as she indulged in her favourite cupcake flavour, red velvet, from Crumbs bakery.
At one point, Ashlee and Jessica got on stage to “sing” with The Copycats, a cover band. Jessica’s Dallas Cowboys quarterback beau even tried his hand at singing the Guns n’ Roses hit Sweet Child O’ Mine to Jessica and the crowd.
Following dinner, Jessica and Tony hit Key Club in West Hollywood to check out Steel Panther (the artists formerly known as Metal Skool) before calling it a night.
