Jennifer Lopez is known to the world as many things — a singer, actress, designer and entrepreneur — but six months after adding “mother” to that list, the 39-year-old is taking on yet another daunting challenge.
Months after giving birth to twins Max and Emme with husband Marc Anthony, Lopez hit up Good Morning America today to announce that she plans to run, swim and bike her way around Malibu at the 22nd Annual Malibu Triathlon next month.
According to Self magazine, La Lopez gained 50 pounds when carrying around her now 6-month-old twins. Now she says she’s still a few pounds over her pre-pregnancy weight, but the pop superstar has been working hard to get back into shape.
Here are some tips courtesy J.Lo:
Tips on Getting Started: “You got to start slow, give yourself time. This is not something natural to me. You have to start little by little and work up.”
Tips on Running: “More traction on the road means more forward momentum. And use your arms to pump back and forth so you keep your [foot] turnover quick. Light feet. No heel pounding. Strike midfoot and roll forward and you’ll not only go faster, but you’ll save your knees and joints from injury over time.”
Tips on Biking: According to Danziger, before even beginning bike training, getting outfitted with the right size bike is very important.
“Let the bike store person fit you personally to avoid aches and pains in shoulders and back, and also to get the most out of your pedal stroke,” she said. “Also, use your gears to make it easier to spin at a high cadence and save your leg muscles from fatigue.”

After spending all week chasing around their 5-month-old twins, new parents Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony treated themselves to a night out last night at STK in Los Angeles.
After munching down on some overpriced steaks, the power couple was all smiles amid a sea of photographers as they departed the celeb hotspot in their Rolls-Royce.
Meanwhile, it appears motherhood has not affected J.Lo’s diva status one bit. The actress/singer/designer reportedly orders her hubby to take over diaper duty in the middle of the night - so she can get her beauty sleep.
He says, “Jennifer pushes me out of bed to go and check on the twins if they are crying. Absolutely.”
But he insists he relishes his role as a father: “We share the parenting responsibilities. We are a team. I love being a dad and that is a big part of it. My family is strong and my foundations are good and they give me so much energy. So I have energy to look after them and energy to work. I am on top of the world right now.”

A radiant Jennifer Lopez showed off her million dollar smile during a recent night out in Hollywood with her hubby Marc Anthony.
Shimmering in a gold satin number with a jewel-encrusted neckline, the busy mom enjoyed a night off from diaper duty as she dined with friends and family at an upscale L.A. eatery.
Meanwhile, after taking about a year off to have some kids, J.Lo is going back to work in the fall to star as The Governess.
Story centers on a professional thief who, in order to pull off a major bank heist, poses as a nanny to the three unruly children of a wealthy widower. When she starts to fall for the kids and their father, she must decide if she can give up her past for a chance to start over.
Sounds a little cheesy, but the script was written by Kevin Wade, the man who also penned Maid in Manhattan so there’s hope yet!

Jennifer Lopez has lost quite a bit of the baby weight she gained since giving birth to baby Emme and Max almost five months ago.
And while her strict diet and workout plan are clearly working, it appears she’s still got some work to do. Stepping out in a 50s-style Oscar de la Renta dress for a photo-shoot in New York City yesterday, La Lopez’s dress appeared to be a tad too tight for the new mom after her stylist failed to do the zip all the way up.
But despite her makeshirt alteration, J.Lo, showing her Bronx roots, paired her frilly prom frock with gold bling earrings and, in the words of Tim Gunn, made it work.

Jennifer Lopez and husband Marc Anthony were spotted enjoying the afternoon in Milan on Tuesday.
The pair made the most of being in the fashion capital of Italy by hitting the shops in true style. The sexy couple made quite a stir as they strolled arm-in-arm and at one point even stopping for a kiss.
Mr. and Mrs. Anthony are in Milan as Marc is playing a gig later this week. Marc has quite a fan base in Italy and the gig is tipped to be a big night for the Latin crooner.

Jennifer Lopez front and center, it was hubby
Marc Anthony who stole the spotlight today.
The Latin crooner received an honourary award by the Milan Town Coucil during a ceremony for his artistic merits at Palazzo Marino in Milan, Italy.
While Marc kept it basic in a tailored blazer and crisp white shirt, lady Lopez was typically glam in an off-the-shoulder mustard coloured frock which complimented her trademark glow.

Jennifer Lopez is being sued for a whopping $5 million after claims from a flight attendant accused La Lopez’s guard dog of chompping her leg on a plane trip two years ago.
Lisa Wilson filed a suit in Brooklyn Federal Court yesterday, alleging the attack caused her to fall and suffer back injuries that prevent her from working anymore.
The suit alleges that 90 minutes into a flight to Burbank, CA, she walked past J.Lo’s pooch, and he responded by “attacking her and biting her pant leg.”
In a dire attempt to flee, the alleged victim says she “twisted and fell,” injuring her lower back so badly she had to undergo surgery last year and no longer can work - “at great economic loss.”
Lopez’s reps had no immediate comment.

Sitting front row (yes, being married to the talent has its perks), La Lopez showered her beau air kisses and words of encouragement as he did his thing for his many Spanish fans.
As for babies Max and Emme? They were back at the couple’s uber luxe hotel room being watched over by the help — namely Jennifer’s younger sister, Lynda.
