Jay-Z is defending fellow rapper Kanye West and his VMA outburst, chalking it up to passion.
Speaking to the BBC Radio 1’s Jo Whiley, the music mogul admitted the incident was “inappropriate at the time.” But, as Kanye’s former mentor, he added: “He’s just a super-passionate person”.
