Hot off the press: Check out a just-released snap of Britney Spears at her sister Jamie Lynn’s baby shower in Louisiana last week.
The mum-to-be tells the upcoming issue of OK! magazine, out next week: “It was wonderful to be able to spend time with her and just be girls again. We painted our nails and did stupid stuff, and we had our private time too. To just be sisters again was wonderful.”
Jamie Lynn is due in late June.

Jamie Lynn Spears has reportedly passed her GED high school equivalency exam and is looking to take the ACT college entrance test!!!!
The 16-year-old mum-to-be took the GED exam about a month ago, and scored particularly well on reading comprehension, says the family friend, who adds: “People don’t know her. When she gets something in her head, she’ll make it happen. Everybody is so supportive of her.”
First a teenage pregnancy and now aspirations for higher learning? What an ambitious little girl!

Jamie Lynn Spears is 16-years-old, pregnant and already looking for a new home for herself and her babydaddy!!!
They sure grow up fast, don’t they?
Photogs recently caught up with the teenage mum-to-be as she and mama Lynne Spears cruised a slew of potential cribs in Kentwood, LA for Jamie Lynn and her growing family.
While their mother-daughter reunion looked warm and tender, Life & Style magazine says it was anything but. Before leaving for LA, a Spears family insiders told the glossy that Lynne had given her young daughter just one rule: Don’t go out in public with beau Casey Aldridge! As we all know she ignored that — she was out and about with Casey on several occasions and there was plenty of photos and video to show.
Says an insider: “Jamie Lynn broke the rules, pure and simple. Her parents didn’t even want her to see Casey, but they knew that would be a lost cause. So they told Jamie Lynn she could see him, but no sleepovers and no hanging out in public.” So when Lynne finally got back to Kentwood, the insider adds, “she totally reamed Jamie Lynn.”
So, why do the Spears parents not want their daughter to be in the spotlight with her babydaddy? To salvage what’s left of Jamie Lynn’s reputation.
Adds the Spears family friend: “Lynne doesn’t want to keep reminding the world that Jamie Lynn is pregnant. She’s worried Hollywood won’t ever see her in innocent roles again.”

Sixteen-year-old Jamie Lynn Spears‘ public pregnancy confession shocked the world last month and she has kept a low profile at home in Kentwood, Louisiana ever since.
On the opposite end, older sister Britney has been living in constant chaos, suffering strained mental and physical health and struggling with legal, medical, and personal issues. A recent family intervention has quieted her reckless behaviour and she has begun a routine that may put her on the road to recovery. Despite Brit’s recent physical activity (she has been training daily at the Millennium Dance Studio), her noticeable belly bump stirs up rumours about her own pregnancy plans.
Has the loss of custody over her two boys forced Britney to try again? Has the medication she has been on conflict with her birth control? Has the heated romance between Britney and Adnan Ghalib made her forget to be careful behind closed doors? Reports confirm that Britney desperately misses her children and feels major loss without them. In light of Jamie Lynn’s plans to carry her child to full term, has Britney decided to join her share in the joys and pains of pregnancy?

Meanwhile, the child-having-a-child continues to work on her GED while being cared for by an adult guardian - a family friend - while her mother Lynne is in Los Angeles taking care of Britney.

With a fizzling career and a baby on the way, it’s understandble why Jamie Lynn Spears may be pinching her pennies, but Page Six reports that the 16-year-old’s thriftiness left one waitress at a Kentwood, LA eatery less than starry-eyed.
The pregnant “Zoey 101″ star irked waitresses at La Carreta, a Mexican restaurant 40 miles outside her hometown of Kentwood, La., when she failed to leave a tip after she and a friend ate there recently. “Jamie is not well-liked here,” says waitress Brittanie Heaney, who makes just $2.37 an hour.
In contrast, Jamie Lynn and her mother were paid a cool $1 million by OK! magazine for the exclusive story on her pregnancy.

Too little, too late?
Hanging their heads in shame, mom-and-daughter duo Lynne and Jamie Lynn Spears creep out of a parenting class in Kentwood, LA on Sunday afternoon following a 1-hour session.
Better to get it done before it’s court-appointed, right?
In addition to her growing baby bump tucked away underneath her oversized hoodie, sixteen-year-old Jamie Lynn was proudly toting a GED preparation book.
If you listen carefully, you can actually hear producers for the Maury Povich Show dialing the phone.

Focussing in on the lesser of the two black sheeps, speculation was running rampant yesterday suggesting that Jamie Lynn Spears’ Zoey 101 show on Nickelodeon had been canceled. Not true! According to the network spokesperson, “The final season of Zoey 101 finished production this past August, but the show has not been canceled.”
That being said, fans tuning in tonight may be scratching their heads. Nickelodeon is airing the one-hour original TV movie called Goodbye Zoey. The story line is that Jamie Lynn’s character, Zoey Brooks, “wrestles with whether to move to London with her parents or to stay put on sandy shores with her pals at Pacific Coast Academy.”
And a “surprise ending” is promised. But something tells us, it’s not an unexpected teenage pregnancy!

It’s another day, another drama for the Spears family.
The latest? Resident black sheep Britney may soon be on her way to jail if she misses one more court-ordered deposition.
“She could go to jail for contempt of court if she refuses to show,” one legal eagle confirms to OK!. “That would be extreme for a child custody hearing, but not outside the realm of possibility.” More likely, explains the courtroom insider, K-Fed’s team could ask the court to impose monetary sanctions on Britney, who is already footing the bill for Kevin’s legal expenses!
If Brit’s 6 previously missed scheduled attempts at being deposed are any indication, the guards at Lynwood Correcttional Facility better prepare for their latest celebrity inmate du jour.
Meanwhile, things aren’t looking too good for Brit’s mom Lynne either. Us Weekly is going to town on the 52-year-old stage mom for the family’s recent troubles.
Alexa Nikolas, 3-month-pregnant Jamie’s Zoey 101 costar, says: “Jamie wanted something different for her life, and her mom put her in situations she didn’t want to be.”
Adds a Spears family insider: “Lynne “treats her girls like a piggy bank. Lynne got all her money through those girls and loved it when it started rolling in.”
Proof of just what a scumbagstress she reallly is? Lynne avoided telling Britney the shocking news that her little sister was knocked up because she “didn’t want her to screw up the deal” she struck with OK! magaine.
A deal which will reportedly reel her in a cool $1 million.
