Gwyneth Paltrow was the picture of maternal bliss while carrying her sleepy 4-year-old daughter
Apple in North London today.
Days after kickin’ it with the girls at the Madonna concert, it was back to mommy duty for the 35-year-old actress as she chased her little girl around all day while squeezing in a few errands when she could.
Next up for Gwynnie? A starring role in a new adaptation of King Lear. It was recently announced at the Cannes Film Festival that Anthony Hopkins would don the role of King Lear, while Keira Knightley will portray Cordelia, Paltrow is set to play Regan and Naomi Watts is cast as the eldest Goneri. The Oscar-bound movie is scheduled to begin shooting in Britain and Ireland in late Fall.

Less than 24 hours after celebrating her hubby’s 40th birthday, Madonna was back on stage performing to a soldout crowd. This time at London’s Wembley Stadium.
The 50-year-old mother-of-three is touring the world with her ‘Sticky and Sweet’ tour which is flying to 37 venues for the roadshow in just under four months.
Amongst the thousands of fans were her A-list pals Gwyneth Paltrow and Kate Hudson, who were snapped sharing a laugh as they watched Madge cavort her muscular body on stage for two hours.

Gwyneth Paltrow has angered animal rights campaigners by appearing in an advert wearing fur.
The actress, who along with her husband, Chris Martin, supports a raft of ethical causes, is pictured draped in fox fur and wearing fur-lined boots for the Italian luxury goods company Tod’s.
A spokesman for People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) said: “We’ve written to her many times, and sent her videos showing how animals suffer for fur, but have never received a response. Apparently her beauty really is only skin deep.”

After forking over $2500 a pop to attend the star-studded charity event at photographer Steven Klein’s Bridgehampton farm, Gwyneth Paltrow angered some Hamptonites with her party behaviour.
“Gwyneth stayed in the house from the beginning,” sniffed one guest. “She was hanging inside the house with Steven and with Kelly Klein nearly the entire time. Nobody could go inside the house — they had security blocking the way. It was so rude.”
Making matters even more annoying, people kept bumping into things in the dark out on the photographer’s horse riding field.
Gwynnie did eventually emerge for about five minutes to read a poem.
“When we make the only choice possible, and that is to love, then all of us become what we were intended to be,” she said. “We are the power.”
Shortly thereafter, Paltrow ran back inside where she sequestered herself the rest of the evening.
Despite Gwyneth’s too-cool-for-school ‘tude, the event went on to raise over $200 000 for the charity.
All’s well that ends well….we guess.

Gwyneth Paltrow has just been announced as Entertainment Industry Foundation ambassador for Saks Fifth Avenue’s 2008 Key To the Cure campaign, a cancer initiative founded in partnership with EIF’s Women’s Cancer Research Fund.
The dogooding actress is modeling a special limited edition T-shirt by designer Karl Lagerfeld that will retail for $40 (at least $35 goes to charity), to benefit Key To The Cure. It will debut at Saks stores on October 1.
As for why Gwynnie is casually holding keys to a Mercedes in her right hand? Mercedes-Benz is a partner in the campaign and will raise money by selling only 1000 special edition Diamond White S550 sedans.

Gwyneth Paltrow visited her pal and alleged kissing partner
Madonna’s apartment in New York City on Monday.
The actress arrived at the Central Park West apartment yesterday afternoon trailed by a nanny carrying Madonna’s adopted son David Banda.
Gwynnie’s arrival comes as Madge is being linked to the marriage break-up of baseball great Alex Rodriguez. Is the actress offering her desperate-for-advice gal pal some much-needed guidance?
Meanwhile, A-Rod was spotted yesterday in the middle of a very deep conversation with Michael Berg, a co-director of the Kabbalah Centre, lover of Kabbalah water and Madge’s personal guru.
You can’t make up stories more dramatic than this!

It’s been all legs, legs, legs for Gwyneth Paltrow recently, but at a charity event in London last night, her standout feature was a curiously swollen belly protruding from beneath a silver minidress.
Adding fuel to the speculation? Gwynnie says in the July issue of Harper’s Bazaar that “I may force myself to (have another child) because the result is so worth it.”
