Word is that
Guy Ritchie is asking for no money as part of his divorce settlement with
Madonna.
Not true!!
Liz Smith of the New York Post dissects the star’s divorce in today’s column.
Guy Ritchie gets about $70 million. He is not walking away “without a penny.” Please! He was no poor boy picked up from nowhere; so now he has to be compensated to support the life to which he has become accustomed. Guy Ritchie had a name and considerable cash when he and Madonna married. He’s earning about $4 million right now for directing “Sherlock Holmes.” But once you taste the really high life, you hold on if you can.
If not to the woman, at least to her money.
Needless to say, Liz and Madge have been friends for years.

And that’s a wrap!
Almost faster than it started, Madonna and Guy Ritchie have been granted a preliminary decree of divorce in a London court today after 8 years of marriage.
Reporters gathered outside the Family Division of High Court, but neither star appeared at the brief session in which a judge granted decrees to 17 couples, including “Ciccone M L v Ritchie G S.”
The decree said the divorce was granted on the basis of Guy’s “unreasonable behaviour,” but did not elaborate.
The divorce can become final after six weeks and a day.

A divorce agreement has finally been reached between Madonna and Guy Ritchie.
Citing a source close to the negotiations, an insider says that the British film director will not be taking a penny of the pop star’s $600 million net worth.
An announcement could come by the end of the month.
Still no official confirmation, but Madge may drop a hint at her Philadelphia concert tonight.
As for the kids? They’ve agreed the two boys — 8-year-old Rocco and 3-year-old David – will split their time between Britain and the U.S., while Madonna’s daughter Lourdes will continue to live with her mom full-time in NYC.

Guy Ritchie was looking a little tipsy as he left his pub the Punchbowl in London at around 2 AM early this morning following in evening of partying with pals.
So, what’s up with the giddy smile plastered all over the suddenly single British director’s face? Looks like it has more to do with the booze flowing in his system and less to do with his personal life.
Tensions are reportedly running high between Guy and his estranged wife Madonna.
While Madge wants to move back to the U.S. permanently with Lourdes, Rocco and 3-year-old David, Guy wants the children to remain in the U.K., where he is based.
“I really don’t believe that the children will all go and live in America. I would be upset, of course, if Rocco left,” Guy’s dad, John Ritchie, tells In Touch. The couple is also reportedly battling over their biological son’s spirituality, an insider says. Madonna wants Rocco only to be schooled in Kabbalah, but Guy is adamant that his son also be exposed to other religions. “Guy is 100 percent done with Kabbalah,” the insider explains. “He doesn’t want his son only exposed to one religion, especially one that he no longer believes in.” The insider adds that a resolution to the couple’s differences will probably have to be found in court, since “neither side is budging.”
As it stands now, Madonna is busy continuing her world tour while Rocco and David have been spending time with dad Guy in London. But that will soon change if Madonna has anything to do about it….

Guy Ritchie got emotional when he was reunited with his sons Rocco and David at a London airport this morning following weeks of separation.
The director’s kids were back on English soil after being whisked away to the U.S. by Madonna, who is in the midst of her Sticky and Sweet world tour.
Eight-year-old Rocco looked blissfully happy to be back in his father’s care as he threw his arms around him after walking through Gatwick’s gates.
Guy and David Banda also shared an embrace, and the three-year-old little boy from Malawi was later hoisted on his dad’s hip as they made their way through the terminal.
These special moments with his kids ought to be sacred for Guy as they are set to be at the centre of the former couple’s bitter divorce battle in the ensuing months.

With his marriage in ruins,
Guy Ritchie has sought comfort in the chiseled arms of consummate bachelor
George Clooney.
The two single studs hooked up in Milan, Italy on Monday to shoot an advertisement for Nescafe. While Guy the director did the masterminding behind the scenes, George did the debonaire thing in front of the camera.
They there’s no better way to wake up in the morning than with a cup of Nescafe, but we can think of two others.

A-Rod may be meeting up via helicopter at
Jerry Seinfeld’s Hamptons home, but don’t tell that to
Guy Ritchie – he couldn’t care less!
The British director looked happier than a pig in poop to show off his naked ring finger while leaving the Punchbowl in London last night.
Meanwhile, Madge has reportedly made an emotional phone-call to her estranged hubby on Tuesday, pleading to settle their divorce amicably, after an ultimatum by Kabbalah elders.
It was the first time they had spoken since the divorce was announced.
After tirelessly trying to remind him of the good times, Guy gave little away and reminded his ex that it was now in the hands of the lawyers. This caused Madonna to break down in tears in front of her staff.
The bone of contention? An agreement on access to their three children.

With no wife to nag him to come home, newly single
Guy Ritchie can stay out until the wee hours of the morning. And that’s exactly what the British director did last night as he joined
Robert Downey Jr. and
Jude Law for an evening out at the White Cube Gallery in London following another day of filming
Sherlock Holmes.
With endless and often ridiculous divorce headlines spewing out of England at record pace, Guy was more than happy to take a break from it all as he kicked back with his pals for some quality male bonding time.
“Guy was in great form, hanging out with friends having a good time,” one gallery guest tells People. “He seemed quite merry and had his arms around lots of people and smiling. Guy seemed quite happy being out and about with his friends,” adds the guest. “I think the distraction is just what he needed, especially the way he was smiling.”
Meanwhile, it what is only the latest installment in the Ritchie divorce, Madonna has reportedly offered Guy an additiona $10 million in his settlement if he lets her dictate his access rights to the couple’s children.
Madge has already transplated the family to New York and yesterday was photographed taking the children on a helicopter sightseeing ride over the city.

A carefree
Guy Ritchie was spotted leaving his office in London today a few days after his divorce to
Madonna was made public.
While the British director has remained mum over his split with Madge, his father is lashing out, branding her “beastly” in the days following the tragic announcement.
He tells the Daily Telegraph: “She is being beastly. She is saying, ‘Did you ever love me?’ It goes back to a time when she fell off her horse and she’s blaming him for that. She’s calling him an emotional retard. When he’s being bashed by her it’s horrid.”
Guy’s dad was referring to the 2005 riding accident where Madge broke 8 bones. Unlike her bones, it appears Madonna’s marriage to Guy never really mended since then.

We’re not quite done beating this whole Madonna/Guy Ritchie/divorce topic to death.
According to The London Paper and The London Lite, there is a lot to battle for in the former couple’s ensuing court battle. As you may recall, the joint statement from Madge and Guy’s reps emphasizes the couple haven’t agreed to any kind of settlement.
Here’s a little rundown of how their financial situations stack up as they head for divorce court.
Madonna’s assets:
Music revenue: $491,250,000
Marleybone area adjoining townhouses: $23.7 million
Two nearby cottages used as investment homes: $3.51 million
Sunset Blvd. mansion: $12.46 million
Manhattan apartment: $17.54 million
Two other London properties used by Kaballah church, including one that is the Kaballah London HQ: $9.12 million
Guy’s assets:
Movie revenue: $35 million
Ashcombe estate in Wiltshire, their country estate in west England: $17 million
The Punchbowl pub (jointly owned with Madonna): $4.39 million
