Barack Obama is everywhere. Literally.
Jean-Charles De Castelbajac clearly had the presidential hopeful in mind when the French designer showed off his Spring 2009 collection during Paris Fashion Week.
No word on whether consumers will get a discount price should the Democratic leader fail to make it into the Oval Office.

Just when you thought
Marc Jacobs’ backward heel at last year’s New York Fashion Week was back-breaking, check out the sole-less heels that just paraded down the runway at the
Aminaka Wilmont show during London Fashion Week.
With Spring 2009 trends stomping down catwalks worldwide, it seems designers are complimenting, or even outdoing, their looks with wild and playful footwear that would make any shoe-lover shout.
Are these new shoe trends too over-the top or do they win best in show?

Maaaaay-juh!!!!
Check out your first look at Victoria Beckham’s first dress collection courtesy of the fine people at WWD.
No surprises here when it comes to Posh’s style aesthetic. All the looks are tailored to the body. Fabrics include basket-weave cotton, fine gazar and georgette silks. And just for a touch of whimsy, Victoria added touches of Indian embroidery and hand-sewn beading.
Says the self-appointed style icon in a just released statement: “The collection was inspired by femininity and sophistication of the midcentury silhouette. I’ve always been drawn to intricate, seam-detailed designs, as their structure enhances the flattering shape of a woman’s silhouette.”
Our thoughts on Vicky’s designs? Has a fashion designer been born?

Marc Jacobs’ star-studded show last night was an homage to everything backwards.
And after kicking off the show (at 11 PM) with a bow, models paraded down the runway in an array of rather confusing items which most lilkely left retailers and distributors hanging their heads.
This morning, fashionistas are buzzing about Marc’s backward heel.
R.E.M.’s Michael Stipe told the AP: “I was blown away. It was worth the wait. I liked the shoes with the heels in the wrong place. Pretty cool.”
Our thoughts on Marc’s must-have item for Spring?
