Eva Green on the Wicklow, Ireland set of Cracks, being directed by Jordan Scott, the daughter of Ridley Scott.
Local extras, dressed in heavy tweeds, milled about vintage cars as their sleepy one-street village was turned into a 1930s-era thoroughfare for the new film.
According to the novice director, the flick takes a look at “misguided love and obsession, as told through the eyes of a group of elite girls in this boarding school.” The former Bond girl plays the role of Miss G, a charismatic teacher.
This is not Eva’s first time being in Ireland. The 27-year-old beauty told the local press: “When I was 15 I went to Galway on an exchange. It’s one of my best memories. Coming back from a work point of view is very different … the countryside is magnificent and mysterious. This is the best role I’ve ever read. It’s amazing, quite dark.”

Showing off her dark eyebrows and even darker lipstick, big screen beauty Nicole Kidman fails to impress (shocking, I know) at The Golden Compass world premiere held at the Odeon Leicester Square in London on Tuesday.
Joined by her country crooner hubby Keith Urban, the 40-year-old actress appears to have matched the colour of her couture gown with the colour of her skin and hair. Not a good look to say the least.
On the bright side, Nicole’s latest effort with costar Daniel Craig is getting rave reviews. Previously trapped in the awful The Invasion earliy this year, this highly anticipated fantasy film offers both stars a chance to redeem themselves nicely. It turns out that they make a good onscreen couple after all, even though they’re really not onscreen together in Compass.
