Dr. Phil has had his fill of Beverly Hills. The faux T.V. psychologist is selling his mansion. It’s on a pocket listing meaning it’s all on the quiet. The asking price? A cool 18 million, but Dr. Phil is not talking! He reportedly bought his pad in cash with wife Robin in 2002 for $7.5 million. It is a 7 bedroom, 8 bathroom, 2 fireplaces, limestone floors, cement pond and guest house.

Phil McGraw, the man who has single-handedly made a mockery of psychotherapy in America, will welcome mentor and the woman responsible for his two-bit career, Oprah Winfrey, for the first time to his show as he commemorates the 1000th episode of Dr. Phil on Monday.
Look for the two to reminisce about the 1998 beef trial that brought them together and ignore the slew of Dr. Phil publicity stunts that have kept them apart.

In a new episode of Dr. Phil today, the faux psychotherapist does his best half-ass public apology following backlash after he visited Britney Spears in the hospital and then quickly issued a press release.
Admittedly, it’s a last-ditch effort to regain the trust of his viewers, but there’s only one problem — the overweight law-breaker never mentions the fact that he is not licensed to practice psychotherapy. Not in California, not anywhere!

“Was it helpful to the situation? Regrettably, no. It was not, and I have to acknowledge that and I do. I definitely think if I had it to do over again, I probably wouldn’t make any statement at all. Period.”
– Dr. Phil admits he regrets making a public statement about his visit to Britney Spears in the hospital during taping of an episode that will run Monday.

Dr. Phil is facing some much deserved backlash for trying to exploit
Britney Spears to boost ratings for his show.
The New York Daily News reports the mock psychotherapist is attempting to get “high-profile guests” to appear on his 1000th “celebrity tribute” episode. But according to a source, there is one big problem — “Nobody good wants to go near it”!!! After the way Phil shamefully handled the Spears fiasco, no A-listers have signed up.
Consequently, Dr. Phil croonies have been suggesting an appearance on the show would be a favour “for Oprah” — not Phil.
What a scumbag!!

Dr. Phil is being accused of violating the Spears family’s trust after making public statements about his hospital visit with Britney and his call for her to receive therapy.
Family spokesman Lou Taylor, a business manager for mother Lynne and daughter Jamie Lynn Spears, appeared on Wednesday’s Today show and also said that at no time had the family planned to do a show with McGraw, despite his statements about such a program. (McGraw later said the scheduled episode would not go on as originally planned.)
“It was decided it would be detrimental to ever do that,” said Taylor, who described McGraw’s request for such a show in the first place to be “self-serving.” She also said that McGraw has now “compromised” Lynne and Jamie Lynn’s relationship with Britney.
“What’s wrong with Dr. Phil’s statement,” said Taylor, “is that he made a statement. The family, basically, extended an invitation of trust for him to come in as a resource to support them, not to go out and make public statements.”
She added, “He was not invited to make this part of a public display or part of the media.”
If you ask us, Dr. Phil needs to have his whizbang lawyer son explain HIPAA law to father, Cedars-Sinai, and the Spears family, especially regarding Britney’s medical privacy rights!!!!!!!
Revoke that licence now!!

Dr. Phil may have canceled his Britney Spears Breakdown show, but that isn’t stopping him from squeezing in some last-minute publicity.
He says “somebody needs to step up” and get Britney Spears “some quality care.” As you’re well aware, the celebrity ambulance chaser has been so under fire for visiting Britney and then planning a show sans her permission. Now, he tells Entertainment Tonight he was trying to get her the care she needs: “I do not apologize one wit, not one second, for trying to make that happen.”
What does he think is the answer to Britney’s troubles? “She needs to be in treatment, she needs to be in in-patient care for a period of time. Is she having a rough time right now? Yes she is. Why? I’m not really going to go into that at this point but I can tell you this is a good person and I truly believe she’ll get back to being a good person.”
Dr. Phil’s message to Britney: “You can make this okay. Your family loves you. You may not always agree with what they say, with what they do but they’ve loved you when you weren’t lovable. Turn to the people that love you and listen. You have two children and you are the one in this world to protect them. There is no sacrifice that Lynne won’t make for you and there is no sacrifice that your father won’t make. They are the people that want nothing from you, and everything for you.”

In a just released statement, Dr. Phil says he will not be doing a Britney Spears show after all. Here’s what the opportunistic sleazebag had to say:
“As was widely reported this weekend, at the request of concerned family members, I visited Britney Spears in the hospital. The details of that visit will, of course, remain private. We had planned to tape a Dr. Phil Now show tomorrow, focusing not on the tabloid side of Britney’s latest problems, but instead on the very serious issues surrounding this case.
Clearly, it is not just Britney’s family struggling to find a way to protect adult children who cannot be ordered or compelled to seek help. Because the Spears situation is too intense at this time, and out of consideration to the family, I have made the decision not to move forward with the taping at this particular time. Britney and her family are in our prayers and we ask that they be in yours.”
Wow, how compassionate of Dr. Phil to think of Brit and her family at this time — yeah, right. Dr. Phil is a therapist like the paparazzi are photojournalists!

“My meeting with Britney and some family members this morning in her room at Cedars leaves me convinced more than ever that she is in dire need of both medical and psychological intervention. She was released moments before my arrival and was packing when I entered the room. We visited for about an hour before I walked with her to her car. I am very concerned for her.”
– Dr. Phil makes a statement to Entertainment Tonight regarding his surprise visit to Britney Spears this morning
(Rumours are running rampant that Britney may make an appearance on The Dr. Phil Show, which is set to tape Monday and air Wednesday. Stay tuned!!)
