DJ AM may be the one of the biggest names in the DJ world (thanks to a slew of famous girlfriends, including Nicole Richie and Mandy Moore), but in the upcoming issue of Glamour magazine, the “the fat kid from Philly” reveals he’s gone through abuse, rehab, abandonment and depression in his fight to stay sober.
DJ AM on being verbally abused as a child and then subsequently kicked out of his home at age 14: “I spent the next two years doing drugs every day, until I went to my mom and actually asked her to send me to rehab.”
DJ AM on his first rehab centre: “It was an abusive house of horrors.”
DJ AM on life after his first stint at rehab: “When I was 20, I started freebasing cocaine. For the next four years, that’s about all I did - with the exception of deejaying. At 24, I felt like my life was over.”
DJ AM on putting a loaded .22 in his mouth and cocking it in an attempt to end his life: “The gun didn’t go off.”
DJ AM on the current state of his life: “It’s been “9 ½ years since I’ve had a drink or taken drugs . . . but I’m still a drug addict.”

Looks like former flames Mandy Moore and DJ AM aren’t just dining pals but they’re also travelling buddies.
After being snapped together over the weekend at Mr Chow in Beverly Hills, the rumoured on-again, off-again couple was spotted hanging out at a Southwest gate at LAX. The duo was headed to Las Vegas.
According to sources, Mandy and DJ AM were not bothered by Southwest’s new boarding policies. That’s because they both had a handful of electronic gadgets to keep them occupied. Mandy had an iPhone, a Blackberry and a Razr phone. But she was still gracious enough to take some pics with rabid fans in the form of 9-year-old girls.
As for their supposedly blooming romance? Things look merely platonic…for now. But something tells me their love affair may soon pick up again should there be a new movie or album to promote!

First Hilary Duff is spotted with her former flame Aaron Carter and now this?!? What is going on here!?!
A very inconspicuous Mandy Moore was spotted sneaking out of Mr Chow in Beverly Hills last night on the arm of her fame-seeking ex-boyfriend DJ AM.
As you may recall, these two lovebirds first sparked rumours of a relationship in January after running into each other at a New Year’s Eve party in Miami. After two months of dating (and raking in all the publicity they can get), Mandy and DJ AM called it quits.
Let’s just hope that this run-in was nothing more than a mere bootycall between two exes. (Hey, it happens!)

Mandy Moore and on-again, off-again ex DJ AM are apparently back on again as the two were spotted leaving Stereo By The Shore nightclub together.
Mandy worked overtime to shield herself from the paparazzi – including letting her friends whack the paps with their purses - before she and DJ AM made it into their waiting Escalade and took off from the Southampton hot spot.
Sources say that the couple are spending the weekend together at the infamous private manse known as Stereo House, a celebrity infested, Hamptons hide-a-way, owned by Michael Satsky and Barry Mullineauxe, which has also opened it’s guest room for Jay Z and Beyonce this week. Satsky and Mullineaux are also the owners of Stereo By The Shore nightclub and are said to have pulled out all the stops to ensure that Moore and AM have a “peaceful, private weekend.”

If this is what sobriety looks like, I don’t want another drink ever again!
Lindsay Lohan was up to no good again last night as she hit up DJ AM’s 34th birthday (yes, he’s that old) at LAX, the club he co-owns.
Now that La Lohan has managed to hook herself up with a free condo in NYC, she must confront the arduous task of splitting her party time between both coasts.
Decisions, decisions….
