Stella McCartney was named Designer of the Year at the star-studded British Fashion Awards on Tuesday night in London. The award, which comes weeks after Stella’s seven-year-old label announced it had turned a small profit for the first time, is indicative of how she has established herself as a respected designer.
Other winners included Marc Jacobs for best New Retai Concept, and Christopher Bailey for Burberry was awarded Menswear Designer of the Year.

Newly slimmed down british songstress Lily Allen was cavity-inducing sweet in a Giles Deacon fairy dress.

Dame Vivienne Westwood won the award for Outstanding Achievement in Fashion. Well deserved, if we do say so ourselves!

While Eve kept it sexy in a sparkly gold sequined mini, Dita looked like a work of art in a brilliantly embroidered strapless number.
Both ladies looked phenomenal!

Spokesdivas Dita Von Teese and Eve give good face at the M.A.C AIDS Fund celebration in New York City on Thursday recognizing the $100 Million contribution the charity has made towards the fight against HIV and AIDS around the world.
The money represents the sale, over the past 13 years, of more than 7.1 million VIVA GLAM lip products - of which 100 percent of the sale price has gone to the work of the Fund.
As you may (or may not) recall, the inaugural VIVA GLAM spokesperson was performer RuPaul. Since then, others have joined the ranks, including Mary J. Blige, Elton John, Lil’ Kim, Missy Elliott, Boy George, Linda Evangelista, Chloe, Sevigny, Christina Aguilera, Pamela Anderson, Debbie Harry and Lisa Marie Presley.
Eve and Dita are the current face of the M-A-C AIDS Fund.

It was a who’s who of Young Hollywood at Wednesday night’s Frederick’s of Hollywood 2008 Spring Collection fashion.
Forty celebrities designed corsets that will be auctioned on eBay beginning Friday to raise funds for actress Jane Kaczmarek’s Clothes Off Our Back. A corset designed for the event last year by Charlize Theron netted $18 000. But the charity’s top-selling garment of all time remains Jennifer Aniston’s 2002 Emmy dress, a vintage Dior that sold for $50 000.
A few sights that were seen:
- In an attempt to avoid the press, Jessica Simpson opted to sip her drink and dance with BFF/hairstylist, Ken Paves, the entire night. After she viewed a parade of runway models displaying corsets designed by celebrities, a request was made for her to share her favourite moment of the evening.
- Zac Efron looked bored as celebrated stripteaser Dita Von Teese performed in a gilded bird cage. Keeping a tight grip on her man, Vanessa Hudgens would say only that she liked the feathers that appeared on models throughout the evening.
- Walking freakshow Bai Ling did not disappoint, wearing two Band-Aids on her legs advertising her upcoming book, ‘Nipples’, which talks about her favouite body part. “People make fun of my nipples,” she explained, “but it’s the first thing we all kiss when we come to earth.”

Looking prim and proper, Burlesque queen Dita Von Teese attends a press conference for MAN Magazine 20 anniversary on Thursday at the Hotel Palace in Madrid.
MAN Magazine is Spain’s equivalent to the innumerable FHM-esque mags currently polluting our newsstands, so it comes as no surprise that the the lengendary pin-up is November’s cover girl.

Burlesque artist-turned scene queen Dita Von Teese was among the many stars who turned out last night for the grand opening of the Monique Lhuillier Salon in Los Angeles.

Looking typically chic in all head-to-toe black, the divine beauty was on hand to check out the celeb-friendly designer’s new unique salon/boutique.

‘Heroes’ babe Kristen Bell, looking très fashion forward in a ruffly off-the-shoulder number, stole the red carpet show much to the dismay of her fellow partygoers.

Joined by her actress pals Perrey Reeves and Jessica Collins, Rebecca Gayheart, a.k.a. Mrs. McSteamy, cut a glamorous figure in a sparkly black frock detailed with a sexy peek-a-boo cut-out. Stunning!

Last but certainly not least (ok, maybe she’s least), vampy Michelle Trachenberg worked her stuff in a gorgeous dress created by the famed Filipino designer. Sadly, all we noticed were those endless extensions!
