It was a cold night in New York City on Friday as
Madonna made her way into the Kabbalah Center with her son
David in tow.
The young tot had just returned to the Big Apple earlier that day after spending a secular week with his father.
It had been a big day for the Material Girl as her divorce from now ex-husband, Guy Ritchie, was finalized in London that afternoon. Surprisingly, the former Mrs. Ritchie seemed completely unphased by the momentous occasion in her life, looking rather relaxed, even airing on the side of happy as she coolly walked into the center.
Around her neck she was wearing the “Hand of God” symbol which represents protection. The charm certainly seemed to have protected her heart quite well on a day that it could have been put through a lot of turmoil!

Newly single dad Guy Ritchie treated his sons Rocco and David to dinner during a break from filming Sherlock Holmes on Thursday.
So where’s little Lourdes? As part of their agreement, the 12-year-old celebuspawn will spend all of her time in New York City with her mother Madonna.
Meanwhile, a court schedule says Guy and Madge will be granted the first stage of their divorce in London tomorrow.
London’s High Court lists “Ciccone M L v Ritchie G S” as one of 16 cases for “matrimonial and civil partnership causes for pronouncement of decree.”
A judge will grant the couple a preliminary divorce decree. After six weeks and a day they likely will be granted a decree absolute and the divorce will become final.
Neither are expected to appear in court.

Guy Ritchie got emotional when he was reunited with his sons Rocco and David at a London airport this morning following weeks of separation.
The director’s kids were back on English soil after being whisked away to the U.S. by Madonna, who is in the midst of her Sticky and Sweet world tour.
Eight-year-old Rocco looked blissfully happy to be back in his father’s care as he threw his arms around him after walking through Gatwick’s gates.
Guy and David Banda also shared an embrace, and the three-year-old little boy from Malawi was later hoisted on his dad’s hip as they made their way through the terminal.
These special moments with his kids ought to be sacred for Guy as they are set to be at the centre of the former couple’s bitter divorce battle in the ensuing months.

While newly single
Guy Ritchie is painting London red with his boys,
Madonna remains the consummate parent in the lives of their children,
Lourdes Leon, David Banda and
Rocco Ritchie.
Following a one-hour service inside, the family-of-four was spotted leaving the Kabbalah Center in Manhattan last night.
Madge is reportedly having religious counseling to help her get through her divorce from Guy.
Madonna has carried on with her Sticky & Sweet world tour, and is allegedly turning to Kabbalah “anger management” to help deal with her emotions.
A source tells Britain’s The Sun, “Madonna is very angry with Guy - about his cold treatment of her in the marriage, about the nasty details of their marriage that have leaked out, and about the money he is demanding. She’s furious that he feels entitled to get a lot of cash, while she’s the one working her ass off on tour. She is getting help from a Kabbalah counselor who is helping her try to put aside her anger, so they can settle the divorce as quickly as possible for the sake of the children. The counselor is telling her she will meet her soul mate but first has to calm her anger.”

There has been no divorce settlement reached between Madonna and her estranged husband Guy Ritchie.
British reports claimed that the two had struck a deal over their finances and how to split their property. One publication even went as far as to say that they had agreed to a custody arrangement for the couple’s children.
In a brief e-mail message sent to The Associated Press, Madge’s publicist Liz Rosenberg said: “I will not be commenting on the various reports regarding the divorce or of the settlement which has not been finalized.”
Meanwhile, something that has been finalized is David Banda’s father’s opinion on where his biological son would best be off — in Africa!!
The real father of Madonna’s adopted son David feels bitterly disappointed that she is getting a divorce - and yesterday he declared: “I am still a poor farmer with nothing to offer, but maybe he would be better off back with us.”
“‘This is a new and terrible thing to happen to him. I am too upset to think clearly. He is only three years old and he has been through so much. I have the joy of a new family and I even have a new son. But now when I think of David in danger of living outside a family life I find it unbearable, I find it hard to believe God intended this. This woman Madonna told me herself that David was beautiful and made her happy and she promised to take good care of him. Now I see him in a big bewildering crowd in the street with people pushing and shoving, and many cameras around, and without a mother and father to hold his hand. I’m feeling bad for him.”
While we love to kick someone while they’re down, there’s no doubt that young David is far better off with a divorced Madonna then returning to a mud hut is Malawai anyday. His father has to much to say, if he feels so strongly about his son he should never had signed the child over in the first place or put a week old baby in a home.

Madonna suited up to celebrate Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year, with 3-year-old son David at a Kabbalah Center in New York City today.
Meanwhile, following in the footsteps of her director husband Guy Ritchie, the Material Mom has made her debut behind the camera with the dark comedy Filth and Wisdom.
Described as a comedy/drama/musical/romance, Filth and Wisdom follows the lives of three roommates who must delve into mischievous and naughty behaviour in pursuit of bigger and brighter futures.
The flick is set to be released in October. Check out a preview below!

Guy Ritchie drew a huge crowd as he arrived at his 40th birthday celebration at The Punchbowl in London tonight.
The birthday boy was joined by his entire family, including wife Madonna and their three kids, 8-year-old Rocco, 3-year-old David and 12-year-old Lourdes.
It has been a good week for Guy whose latest Brit gangster flick, RocknRolla, has grabbed the top spot at the the UK box office, taking over $3 million in its first three days.
As for what he wants for his big day? “Accolade and money.”

It seems like only yesterday he was a little baby bundled up in a white blanket on his way from Malawi to England.
But it was an all grown up David Banda who was caught in the rain today while outside his home in London with his nanny and umbrella carrier.
Meanwhile, Madonna’s rep has dismissed reports that she is “on the very cusp” of adopting a second child from the impoverished African nation.
Says Liz Rosenberg: “I don’t know how official the Malawian official can be because there are no plans for Madonna to adopt another child from Malawi. She is getting ready to start her tour in l0 days.”
And speaking of her tour, a spokeswoman for French fashion house Givenchy has confirmed that they will provide Madonna’s clothes for her forthcoming “Sticky and Sweet” world tour, including the concerts’ opening number.

David, became a big brother when his birth father,
Yohane, and his now wife,
Flora, welcomed a new son. “
It’s too early to say if he looks like David,” Yohane tells In Touch Weekly, who wants the two brothers to meet. “I’m confident they will,” he reveals. “It’s my duty as their father to make sure they know about each other and respect and help each other.”
Yohane hasn’t named his new son yet.

Madonna and family, sans Guy Ritchie, attended the weekly Friday service at the Kabbalah Center in New York City last night.
Last week Madonna carefully covered her face for the cameras, but tonight it was unmistakable how her recent battles have taken a serious toll on her health. A source close to the singer revealed to Britain’s The Sun newspaper: “Madonna is doing less than OK. She has been rehearsing for the tour and she is totally miserable. She’s down physically and mentally.”
