The new trailer for Harry Potter & the Half-Blood Prince has hit the web.
The film was initially going to released this November, but was pushed back until July 2009. While the studio said it was to take advantage of summer audiences, there was also speculation that it was due to star Daniel Radcliffe’s naked turn on Broadway.

Daniel Radcliffe once again graces the cover of the October issue of Details magazine and in an interview accompanying the magazine talks about the future, Harry Potter and more.
Some snippets from the interview:
Daneil on his dream role: “I think part of me would love to play a drag queen, just because it would be an excuse to wear loads of eye makeup.”
Daneil on his generation: “I don’t pretend to do anything particularly wild. People talk about rebellion and they say, ‘Where is the teenage angst?’ But I say I try to do it simply by the choices I make in the work I do. I just like wrong-footing people. I write poetry and I love it. I like being different from most other people in my generation.”

And while on the topic of Daniel Radcliffe and Equus, an racy photo has made its way online showing the young actor nude on a horse, taken by Annie Leibovitz for the next Vogue.
In the piece, he talks about how he is perceived: “They’re always expecting some terrible person to turn up. So you try to make sure they they know that you’re intelligent and not horrible. Then you try to be rugged and sexy — but only after smart and lovable.”

Just a few weeks after the first Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince trailer was unveiled, Warner Bros. has decided to move the film from it’s planned November 21 release date to July 17, 2009 - almost a full 8 months later.
And now we know why!!!
Daniel Radcliffe will be in the middle of his Broadway run in Equus, in which he appears naked. The movie studio reportedly doesn’t want sweet Harry’s publicity being overtaken by a story of a young man sexually hung up on horses.
As for the studio’s official reasons? The strike caused the “landscape” to change and summer is a better time to open the movie.
Right.

Looking a little rough around the edges, a bearded Daniel Radcliffe celebrated his birthday today by dining with his family and girlfriend, Laura O’Toole, at The Wolseley in London.
The casually dressed boy wizard turned 19 years old today.
This birthday guy has become widely recognized (and wealthy!) playing Harry Potter, but wary of being typecast, he’s since taken on more adult roles (i.e. his very nude role in the revival of Equus.) The young thespian will next portray late photojournalist Dan Eldon in the biopic Journey.

Harry Potter has chest hair. Who knew?
After eight years of living in wizard garb, Daniel Radcliffe has tossed the sissy sorcerer’s image. Meet the new, grown-up Dirty Harry.
Daniel on how school became difficult post-Harry Potter: “Some people did get very aggressive. People say it was just jealousy, but I don’t think it is jealousy. I think it’s just ‘We can have a crack at the kid that plays Harry Potter.’ As Eddie Izzard says, these people always hang about in fives, because these people have a fifth of a personality each.”
Daniel on why he chose not to go to college: “The paparazzi, they’d love it. And also if there were any parties going on, they’d be tipped off as to where they were, and it would be all of that stuff.”
Daniel on why he’s never been to a nightclub: “All it takes is for me to be seen chatting up a girl for them to, you know, make up some crappy headline about me being a sex rat or whatever they call it.”
Daniel on why he would never date an actress: “I think it would be very hard to go out with an actress, because they’re mad. Some actresses are just insane. I’ve never worked with a nasty actress—they’re all absolutely delightful. But completely barking.”
Daniel on being nude on stage in ‘Equus’: “’d be lying if I said I was completely fine. I was nervous and I was a little bit worried. But not meaning to drop a name, I talked to Gary Oldman about it, because we get on very well and I know he’s been naked onstage. And so I said to him, ‘What’s it like?’ and he said, ‘On the first night you’ll be terrified and on the second night you’ll be terrified and after that you won’t care.’ And that’s absolutely true. When you’ve done it twice, it doesn’t matter anymore.”

Hundreds of Harry Potter fans, many of them young girls, stood in Leicester Square in torrential rain and thunder and chanted, “Harry, Harry, Harry” as they waited to see Daniel Radcliffe for the London premiere of ‘Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix.’
Author J.K. Rowling joined the stars on the red carpet. Young Daniel seemed to like the attention. “I can’t complain,” he said. “It’s rather wonderful, really.”

Is the busy schedule of starring in the West End production of ‘Equus’ taking its toll on Daniel Radcliffe’s skin. The ‘Harry Potter’ boyhunk’s skin looked a little blotchy at the STR Theatre Book Prize today in London.
