Summer has barely begun – yet we’re already buzzing about a film not due out until the Fall. The film in question? The latest James Bond flick, Quantum of Solace, in theaters November 7.
Check out the just-released trailer where Bond finds himself seeking revenge for the death of his love and taking on an environmentalist who plots to take over a country’s water supply.
Underscoring just how effective trailers on the net can be in attracting attention for event films, the phrase “quantum of solace trailer” entered the top 10 hot search terms on Google Trends this morning.

Bond 22 has a new title: Quantum of Solace.
Sure, it’s not quite as catchy as Goldfinger or Casino Royale, but it is the title of a short story by Ian Fleming.
The movie opens November 7.

Showing off her dark eyebrows and even darker lipstick, big screen beauty Nicole Kidman fails to impress (shocking, I know) at The Golden Compass world premiere held at the Odeon Leicester Square in London on Tuesday.
Joined by her country crooner hubby Keith Urban, the 40-year-old actress appears to have matched the colour of her couture gown with the colour of her skin and hair. Not a good look to say the least.
On the bright side, Nicole’s latest effort with costar Daniel Craig is getting rave reviews. Previously trapped in the awful The Invasion earliy this year, this highly anticipated fantasy film offers both stars a chance to redeem themselves nicely. It turns out that they make a good onscreen couple after all, even though they’re really not onscreen together in Compass.

On the set of his next ‘James Bond’ movie, Daniel Craig checks the shot in Siena, Italy, in a balcony window overlooking the Madonna dell’Assunta Palio di Siena traditional horse race.
A big tourist draw, the race pits 17 neighbourhoods against each other, with horses and their jockeys often tumbling during the action. Animal rights group have denounced the event as cruel to animals. Word is that Bond will chase a villain around during this wild race as part of a climactic scene in the film.
